    Hi guys and girls!

I have two things that I would like to mention at this very tense stage of the season. Firstly, I left a match early for the very first time on Monday in order to get in the queue to buy tickets for the Walsall game as I was worried it may sell out. Before full time. The only place I could get tickets were the corners of the itchen/chapel and the kingsland/chapel. Surely we are on course for a sell out! Does anyone have any idea how many we have sold so far?

The second thing I would like to mention is block 42 on Monday. My word were they giving it the big one to block 43. I think its is the opinion of many fans that support in the northam is diminishing and Kingsland North is the more vocal of the stands at the moment. Block 42 were so focused on having a go at block 43 about being plastics, not knowing the words to chants, never coming to a game before etc etc it was just pathetic. Perhaps they could start focusing on supporting the team and not trying to have a go at some of their own fans! Obviously this is not aimed at all block 42! Did anyone else notice this or am I just being pedantic?!

Fingers crossed for 2 wins from 3! COYR

Block 42 have given Block 43 hassle at every oppertunity..... PATHETIC!!!!

I am in Block 43 right on the isle next to 42 and in my opinion.... if people want to sit in 43 when it opens then fair enough!

People may be there for the first time. It may however be filled with many fans that come week in week out but can only ever gt tickets in other areas of the stadium!

Block 42 you are starting to lose your touch if i am honest!!!!!!

Some of those non season ticket holders in 43 Vs Hartlepool may have spent alot more time, effort and money than the likes of me. I live local and saved alot on getting a season ticket. Quit with the hassle and support the team! Blimey!

    Rant over!

PS- well done to all 24000+ that showed up!

Complaints of the Northam, particularly the top of Block 42 are becoming more apparent on every Saints Forum I look at. TBF, a few of the people in Block 43 on Monday tried to get tickets in other areas of the grounds and couldn't so I believe they sat there instead. Most were also animated and not just sat down clapping everything without getting excited like the majority of the opposite side of the ground.

A bigger Northam looks great in the photo's however so I'm not complaining, as like MK Dons last season, it makes it look like a Kop of all supporters stood in a sea of Red & White.

Agree with everything you say here! Whats wrong with people wanting to sit there. Yes there are fans who only turn out when the going gets good which can annoy fans but still wouldnt you rather come than not come at all?! I think this is why it winds me up as a lot of people have a perfectly good reason not to attend such as travel and finance.

Interesting that you say the top of block 42. Thats actually where I was refering to. They seem to think they are senior fans, far superior to all others. Would be much more effective as a unit of supporting the team if they welcomed all fans and encouraged them to sing with them rather than singing abuse at them.

All fans are created equal. If we only had fans that could come every home game and afford a season ticket the ground really would look empty. I wouldn't be there for one! I'm sure NC loves all our money the same.

    Why not welcome these fans.
There was one fan who came to the stadium for the first time up from Cardiff.
There are lots of reasons why people have to pick and choose their matches because of a whole host genuine reasons. Whether it be travel reasons, work reasons, Families with children actually playing football on Saturday after noons. Which of course brings in the time of year when these fans are actually able to make it. also there is financial reasons. Not everyone is in a job!!!!
People that are coming out of curiosity and never been to a match before (as the people Sat behind us in the chapel) These people need to be made welcome........ not abused. What kind of atmosphere is that going to create.? How is that going to enhance our chances of bringing in new fans? You will be wanting the club to spend on players at some stage. They cannot do that without income and you are doing your best to discourage such people!!!!! Where are your brains?????
Encourage not discourage should be the order of the day

I was one of those in block 43. embarrasing really.
i use to be a season ticket holder in 42, then times got hard, with money and other things. so didnt bother to renew my ticket, not out of choice, just simply couldnt afford it.

but i get to as many games as i can still, but tend to stay away from the northam nowadays, only reason i was in 43 on monday, i had my brother down for the holidays from somerset, and couldnt get 2 tickets together in the kingsland north.

on another note, all the lads giving 43 some stick, i wonder how many away days they do? if they say people in 43 are plastics, i go away often, apart from this season, and tbh from my time in the northam as a ST holder, i only notice a few whilst away from home.

    blah rant over

From what your saying; Saints fans had a go at other Saints fans for turning up - IDIOTS
I'm sorry but the Northam is full of t**ts that don't even sing that much any more.
So if we get promoted they would rather keep having a smaller attendance.
The Northam 'fans' I would say are the least worthy of being called fans; they just turn up to get pissed and abuse our own fans!!

OK Lets not let this get out of hand.............Whether northam is a lot quieter at the moment is one thing.....All this sniping is another. I think any one with an ounce of brain has to agree that verbally abusing fans that do not come that often, is a big NO NO.
We cannot make this any plainer......... do not discourage new fans.
New fans are just as much the life blood of the club as the die hards. If we want the best players, we need all fans to spend, spend, spend money so the club can buy them. Let us not forget that

Stereotyping the whole of the Northam as like this isn't going to help is it?

Beddy.......I thought us lot in the itchen south/chapel/kingsland south were quite vocal on Monday! ;)

When I go to games (not that often I must admit) I always try to sit in either Kingsland North (where there's no leg room) or Itchen North. I used to love sitting in the middle of Kingsland, but after a few matches it became all a bit 'samey'.

Was nice to sit in Itchen South on monday though, with my Mum. She hadn't been to a Saints match for years, so after reading all this I'm glad I didn't choose Block 43. No way to treat fellow Saints fans. =(

Here, here. I was in block 43 at the weekend and found it disgusting the amount of vitrol from the top of 42. It quietened the atmosphere of those around me especially the younger lads.

Peeps in 43 were'nt just newcomers but those who as previous post regular attendees over many years.

Hope these people realise the effort some people make to attend home games, especially this year due to the Trains being a massive put off. A 2hr journey from Somerset was a 4hr train and bus and has been since Jan. Making Away games a lot more attractive prospect.

A fact they don't consider as they presume everyone lives in the city??

Do they attend every away game? No? Reason Expense, time, Travel??

Bournemouth and Brentford aside getting away tickets has been no problem so they can't be that super can they.

    My Rant over!!

Onward to Brentford, Plymouth, and Walsall (Kingsland!)

In truth sfcrich.........we have our moments most games..........our corner/Itchen Chapel can be very noisy on our day. Trouble is the acoustics seem pretty hopeless down our end for what ever reason! If you are bringing your mum again would suggest staying down that end. We do not want her hearing words that she will not understand now do we? Now get your ticket early for the Walsall game, my understanding is they are going like hot cakes.

Unfortunately, Hartlepool was the last game I am able to make this season. I am only able to make a few games a season, I can probably count them on one hand. Let me try: Plymouth (H), Leyton Orient (H), MK Dons (A), Leyton Orient (A), Hartlepool (H).

I start back at work on May 7th and as I havent been to many games I wasn't able to pick up tickets for Brentford or Plymouth. Never mind. Hopefully when I'm back (in November) we will be playing Championship football!

    :)

This is ridiculous... not the fact that block 42 were giving some stick to block 43 but everyones idea that every single supporter in block 42 is a drunken lout who don't go to away games...

As a fan who stands near the top of block 42 and who has also gone to 12 away games + pre season friendlies as a season ticket holder who doesn't drink or have a criminal record - you're wrong. But hey, stereotype as you like!

as for the 'plastic fan' debate which people are referring to - the reason for the plastic fan jibe and the animosity is not what you say. What really gets on peoples nerves is the fact that when we were at home to Dagenham and pushing for the playoffs, no one can 'afford it' or are busy... but as soon as the opportunity for Man Utd at home comes up with Carlisle for £50+, they suddenly have the money...

Those who try to get to as many games as possible but have money/time issues are not the target of this abuse, but instead the ones who don't have a spare pound for a JPT game but clamber for Wembley tickets - its not about time its about not wanting to go to the crap games. Guess what, thats what being a supporter is about - not turning up for the party at the end and saying ''I'm loyal''

block 42 season ticket holders have been there in some cases for many years and have followed the club home and away, as for our contribution/not cheering on the team/singing we do a damn sight more than the rest of the ground. We make a wall of noise whereas the likes of Chapel sit in their bloody armchairs complaining.

So how about you chapel/kingsland/itchen enders start cheering the team on instead of slating the one side who do as drunken idiots, and as for the plastic fans who suddenly have lots of time and money when Utd or Pompey come along... SHAME ON YOU.

As for those who can't afford to go and go to as many games as possible regardless of it being Chelsea or Cheltenham... nothing but respect.
