Some thoughts: - Solid first half, lovely move for the ball. - Passing is getting better every game. Even Carra is looking to step out and play, and a little quicker to adjust his body for receiving the ball. - Shelvey needs to be a little better in tightly marked areas. - Allen missed a pass! - Coates MOTM so far - some great tackles. - Borini playing with a lot of determination, some nice touches - deserves a goal or at least a clear chance. - Downing better but still needs a little more cutting edge. Good tracking back though. - Henderson has played well, very tidy and composed. - Assaidi is bright, and will be effective on the break... but he needs to work on his crossing. Let's get Sterling and Sahin on second half and see if we can push for more - but I'd love the clean sheet most of all (think we've only shut out Gomel so far this year).
I agree. But having guys staring at the leash against each other cant hurt one bit. And also means the guys "resting" aren't so comfy on the sofa......
Did anyone notice Carra do the smart thing and boot for corner rather than try & turn with ball, even to boot out for throw in. He's fine when he plays within his limitations & is played within his limitations.
I'm happy for this 11 to play the 90. We are winning, they are offering very little. Give them the faith to finish this.
To be honest I don't think you'll ever get a "cutting edge" from Downing. All you can really ask of him is to do a job on the flank, and he's at least doing a better job than usual tonight.
WHY WHY WHY did they have to show the first episode of Red Dwarf X at the same time as the Liverpool game?!
I agree but Cole is guaranteed to come on around sixty minutes. Plus I reckon Brendan will make three changes regardless.
Just seen on the BBC that we had 10 shots on target to their 4 and have had 72% possession + the positive posts on here sounds like we are having a really good game Looks like BR is getting the best out of our players
all i can say is perfection is what i crave, its not barnes beardsely and rush/aldo but the passing is really great.
Poor start to the second half. Need concentration for 90 minutes or things like that happen. Cracking move and finish though. Di Natale is just a class act.
