He's not our best centre back far from it but he's a good squad player. That was a very good goal to be fair.
It's a lesson for the team to learn...concentrate on our own game and don't think about how good or bad the opposition is.
Never mind, I'm sure we'll still qualify. Look at the positive, another game unbeaten! If we win in Sunday I don't think any of us will really care about this result too much.
Disappointing as I thought a win awaited. We should beat them at home though. Kyle the smile, your team's on so watch for revenge.
Strong side on paper but they turned up to piss around and I'm sure AVB will let them know it's unaccaptable. The pitch wasn't great for football but you can't slack off like that if you want to win.
That 2nd half performance was bloody pathetic. No sense of urgency, no real attempt to kill off a side that were there for the taking and no ambition to attack and dictate play. A really lazy showing and utterly disappointing. We really need to get players back from injury to allow Villas-Boas to mix things up a bit, rest a few people and create some competition for places. We only have one attacking pairing that works at the moment, that of Dempsey and Defoe, so when either's not firing we look very blunt.
It's still wide open. Lazio only won 1-0 and missed a penalty,Pana haven't won yet and we haven't been beaten. One defeat in nine now. With an away win followed by an away draw I'd expect a home win on Sunday.
I will. I thought the second half showed everything which is bad about footballers these days. We won the 1st half at a canter and so there was no need to break sweat in the 2nd half. We played at half pace and yet again we see players who can't be arsed to raise their game to kill a game off. It's not exclusive to Tottenham, it's the attitude of the modern day player. 1-0 is never ever enough for players to take their foot off the pedal as some of ours did tonight.
I can see your point Spurcat however I will reserve my castigating of the team if they fail to qualify from the group. I am hoping the team were saving themselves for sunday and for once this season winning comfortably at home!
I figured they were due to be flat the game after Man U. I'm hoping this gets it out of their system for the time being.
It's hard to castigate the players as none were actually bad - the real criticism is that they weren't smart. They kept the ball and scored a second, rather than switch off for the last half hour as their minds drifted to the Villa game.
There can be no excuse for players not looking interested. It's actually quite easy to castiagte players when their mental approach is "bad".
My team played yesterday, i don't know what crack your on. We don't do thursdays. Or spursday as it's known.
I thought that you were Liverpool Kyle,it's an easy mistake to make seeing as you are not that well known on the Spurs board or taken that seriously.
I feel sorry for the travelling fans more than anything. The players taking probably the best part of a million between them in pay this week owe anyone that flew out there to the game.
A point was a decent result, for me it was a 'mustn't lose' game again, and we didn't. This leaves us in a good position to qualify. 4 points from Maribor, 3 more from the Greeks. should be enough.
