Somehow I just got this feeling that the number 1 finger he does is actually symbolic as a sense of not declaring he is "number 1" but something else. Maybe it's a direct point towards Di Resta himself? Aka: "You only beat me because my finger was almost sliced off Paul and me winning this race while your in DTM and fighting at the back in F1 proves this."
I think we should start some totally bogus rumour about Di Resta. Like he beats up cats with a lint roller.
I love seeing that video, not bad when you consider that was in his rookie year and that he was also in a lesser team (ASL Mucke) where Lewis is with ASM (The RBR of F3 at the time) and had unlimited testing with his McLaren and Mercedes connections and had better mechanics who would easily balance the car far better than the lower teams. There was an interview with Lewis talking about F3 that he admitted the cars might be very identical, but the better mechanics in the richer teams at his 2nd year could give you that extra edge over the competition and that it was almost perfect to drive at every GP he entered that year. After Lewis dominated that year the rules were cracked down on, reversed grids on the 2nd race (so if you won the first race you would be put into 10th the next one) and limited testing to support the lower teams that didn't have the money so the field bunched up stupidly.
How about he is a twat? *Edit* Actually how about we keep mentioning that he was beat Di Grassi in the same car?
Both in Manor during the 2005 F3 season, Paul was a rookie "supposedly" but I heard rumours that his rich family had the money to give him the testing miles to not warrant him being classified as a rookie unlike Seb that year who by no surprise was the top rookie that year while Paul was ****ing nowhere. Di Grassi: 68pts//3rd Di Resta: 32pts//10th
Well I was just interested why Paul wasn't entered as a rookie in 2005, while Seb was. Looked around Google for a few hours and a couple of people said who where involved in the team said he had hours of testing time before he came into F3.
I love how committed everyone is on here is to mercilessly take the piss out of Di Resta, not only is it funny but it is also totally warranted
We shouldn't be so harsh on di Resta, after all he did beat Vettel in F3. Enjoyed that video, proper racing
*Edit* Oh and he was beaten by Gary Paffett in DTM during the 09 season. Oh I will enjoy the next time I get a chance to post on the BBC. "How hard was it to be beaten by "lesser drivers" like Di Grassi and Paffett in equal machinery?" "Can you beat Seb if both his hands are actually working over a full season?"
Really hope he gets the Ferrari drive and then beats Alonso in Aus next season P.s. https://www.zdkf1.com/Player/MyPredictions.aspx - 15mins!!
So lets see.......we got Di Grassi, Paffett and Sutil who have all beaten Di Resta in the same machinery... And we got Seb who was beaten in F3 while he almost lost his hand in a accident? Yup, I can see why one is a double world champion and the other is just DC's hand muppet...
Felipe Massa expected to stay at Ferrari for 2013 - Benson In the article Benson sounds very confident, as you probably would be when a driver ends a 2 year podium drought - but I think he's missed a couple of things: First of all Alonso wasn't so impressed by Massa's race: "Well, itâs a bit because of the coincidences in the race that Felipe is second. Yesterday we qualified sixth and eleventh. We have had the same car for six races, without adding any new bits, and itâs a bit thanks to the circumstances...Felipe did a perfect race, driving well, but there are cars which are a lot faster making a mistake after another and that has helped Felipe". Surely the team would have the same opinion. Second thing is that Hulkenburg had a really strong race. He had better race pace than Hamilton and Raikkkonen and if he were able to overtake them, he would have finished 5th. Unfortunately he spent the entire race being held up by them - but despite this he finished over 30 seconds ahead of the guy who beat Seb in F3.
