Not sure but his passing is no better than Fumaca's at present. Fecker can't pass the ball all of a sudden. First year he barely gave it away and knocked it around lovely. Last season and this, he seems to want to give it to the oppo. Still fanatstic for us defensively but his passing is cack.

Cattermole's tackles are ill-timed, but a huge improvement from the ones he used to perform in his Wigan/Boro days.

His tackle on Scott Parker whilst playing for Wigan was reckless, he had been on the end of a real bad tackle from Lucas Neill and he, I believe, went on to intentionally cripple Scott Parker as he couldn't control his frustrations. I've not seen that type of tackle from him since he took out Luca Modric, maybe he learnt something from that suspension or maybe he's just coming of age. He still commits fouls that will earn him yellows and reds but to his credit, he distanced himself from the likes of Karl Henry who is just a pathetic little rat who takes out his short comings as a player on other professionals.

Tiote takes a lot for the team, I've not really seen any real dirty tackles from him for no reason, I think the cattermole rake down the ankle was probably a bit of revenge from Tiote. He's a very strong and aggressive player though so he'll continue to pick up cards. Cabaye for me is no worse than our very own Paul Scholes, he's not a specialist tackler so bound to get some wrong from time to time, I doubt he goes in intentionally to hurt, but saying that, I doubt very much that very many players in the Premier League go in to hurt another player intentionally - Robert Huth is one exception and our Rio tried to split Suarez open last season too but ended up launching Evra 10 feet in the air!

Aye, he does seem to be struggling with the ball, although the pass for Ba on Saturday was superb.

He's a decent enough player, and to give him fair dues he's missed a few games, probably explains why he's not on it, similar to Sess for us.

Miss games early in the season and you do get left short for a few weeks, generally.

    Terry,

    Scholes 'not a specialist tackler'.

Ha ha, that's kind in the extreme mate!

Remember that pick of him sliding in and his knob was out, ****ing hilarious.

    Genuine great mind.

Catt's is Yaya Toure'S favourite midfield opponent. He admires his play and tenacity. No mention of him being a nasty, malicious, dirty dean koontz as you and your mates agree on amongst yourselves

He'd probably have better luck going nob first into tackles.

I guess he makes up for it in other departments (not his nob, I mean his tackle, not HIS personal tackle...jeez too many double entendre's in there), it wouldn't be fair if he was good at tackling too, players like Messi and Ronaldo wouldn't get a look in when award season comes round, and did you know he scores goals, Paul Scholes?

2nd half versus Spurs, although we lost and I really can't deal with that very well, Scholes was world, no universe class.

On a side note, Noble? I'm not buying into the hype for this goon after a couple of good games. Wasn't even my man of the match, I rated Jarvis had a better game on Monday.

Don't think anyone was bigging Noble up mate, it was a comparison of 2 tackles, Catts gotta red , Noble got yellow.

I said I like Noble, and I do, not based on this season, based on 4, the lad is very underrated, he has a really smashing range of passing, and is very comfortable on the ball.

I noticed him against the Toon a few years back, Toon won 3-1, but Noble was quality, and I've kept an eye on him since , and he's a very, very good player.

Fair enough, I've not seen as much of him as you but from what I have seen I'd say he doesn't deserve much hype.

Do you reckon Giroud will come good at Arsenal? I watched a lot of him last season, and know you watch a lot of French footy too, he was top drawer in Ligue 1 - not the £40m player his president was touting him about as, but still good enough for any league in the world for me. I'm not sure Wenger is playing to his strengths and Wenger certainly needs to tell Walcott that Giroud is his second striker and if Walcott can't take that then he should do one, because he's just not consistent enough to be relied upon when Arsenal have Champions League and League title (sure!) aspirations.

?? Just a bizarre response. So because Cattermole didn't try and maim Yaya Toure, played well against him, this automatically means Cattermole has never gone in to intentionally hurt an opponent? Great logic. <ok>

    Classy.

Genuine question here mate, but I'm assuming you have never played football to any standard higher than a kick about in the park with friends?

Anyone who has played even school level football will have hit opponents in the face on countless occassions in identical circumstances to the one in the video. On the turn, seeing the tough opposition midfielder running at you out the corner of your eye, naturally you put both arms across your face and out to block them. No real reason for it, you just do it. I have done it 5, 6, 7, maybe more times, as will anyone who has played the game. Not even a foul.
