    On a more serious note, did I hear correctly that the 3-2 win was Celtic's 1st away win in the Champions League/European Cup proper in 26 years! <yikes>

    You heard correctly. Pretty pish eh? <laugh>

    But tbh, it's just another way of saying we hadn't won away in the CL before. The 26 years covers the CL years (when everyone and their dog knew Celtic hadn't won away). Otherwise we've only played two away games in the european cup/CL proper (in 1988-89) since our last away "triumph" <laugh>

    it was all over the gambling forums that night BEFORE the match had even kicked off that there were strange betting patterns on that game.

    the russians were short priced favs to win early in the day but their price started getting bigger and bigger throughout the day and that was what made folk start to question what was going on with that match.

    some folk were saying there were rumours that the russian team had been bribed to draw the match, but it looks like they blew it because they scored the OG to even things up way too early and left celtic to fluke a late winner.
