The only silly thing about that is he wasn't in the squad in the first place and was quite rightly offended by it considering who was there instead

Disgraceful considering Sterling got a senior squad call up (which he didn't deserve). Both of them should be in U21's and no where near senior team yet..

As nice as it is for us and especially the player when called up I am feeling almost relieved that JWP isn't in the squad. The lad has enough to do trying to cement his place in our squad without worrying about other things. Let him gain a regular starting slot and the rest will follow.

If JWP plays too much, he could end up like Wilshere-injury prone!

    No Lambert!

Scores four goals so far this season.

    Joint English top scorer!

Welbeck the bench warmer! And Carroll has been injured!

    Lost respect for Roy now!

    Phew! thats a relief.

No injuries to key players, more time on the training ground, fresher for the first game after the intl's - Result!

Roy Hodgson is a twat. He's picked Carroll because he was impressed with him in the 19 minutes he played against QPR. What an idiot.

Yep on current form Rickie or Crouch had to be in the squad. Shows what a farce it all is!

I'm not too fussed that Rickie hasn't been picked. I think Hodgson wants to see more of Rickie in the PL before he calls him up, which is understandable. It's the fact that he's picked Carroll and Welbeck that really annoys me. There are far better options than those 2, Crouch being the obvious one.

Totally agree. Welbeck has done nothing this season.
