Mine is going well too, fruit for breakfast and a pitta with salad and a home made soup for dinner.

Trouble is between them I was driving between sites starving so stopped at a burger van and had a massive bacon roll.

    Job done.

    And I sacked swimming.

Haha nice. I did a roadside van on Saturday. £2.50 for a bacon buttie with about 6 rashers on really soft white crusty thick cut bread with brown sauce.. Was literally amazing..

Ahh yes very well, I like them a little rare in the centre so the stilton wasn't completely melted but next time I'll do it to perfection. Had it with lettuce, red onion, tomatoes, gherkins and a dollop of american mustard and ketchup.

Sounds lush. Did you make the burgers with shop bought mince??

When ever I make my own burgers they just taste bland and of mince..

I usually get shop bought mince but I got this mince from a butcher near me. I put minced garlic, onions with olive oil chopped, grated parmesan cheese, chopped parsley and basil, plenty of salt and pepper and then an egg. Literally exactly the same recipe I use for meatballs.

I've had curried goat, bit of a caribbean delicacy I think. It's ok, bit like mutton.

So you wouldn't roast it like a lamb joint?

Only ask as I went into the weirdest corner shop ever earlier.. It was how I'd imagine walking into a food store in a shanty hut in Mumbai.. But they stocked some seriously weird tat.. And had a halal butcher who had goat. So I've been contemplating going back and buying some..

Could do I suppose, doubt it'd be anywhere near as good as a lamb joint though. It was quite chewy when I had it. There's a butcher like that near me, sells kangaroo and stuff, proper mental.

Had a kangaroo burger once at a BBQ. Also had a buffalo steak.. Tried shark once.. Was similar to sword fish.. Tried octopus in Spain this year, didn't like it.. Was a weird texture.

Am sure I saw a recipe for a shredded goat dish once, shall google it..

What was the kangaroo like? I had buffalo steak too in America, so tasty. Not totally into my seafood, craziest thing I've tried is probably curried monkfish which was good.

Was years ago I tried it.. Tasted gamey.. Would rather have beef to be honest.

Buffalo was nice.. Tesco used to sell it years ago around the time they stocked kangaroo..
