Ahh, so just a slight exaggeration then <laugh>

Still, no excuses, Dortmund are a major side right now, far far far bigger than City. City fans should relish these games.

Attendance 43,000 (ish). Guess a couple of thousand missing there. For a huge European game, mental.

They will blame the weather and expect people to believe that the team who claims all its fans come from manchester cannot deal with a little manchester weather.

Truly pathetic club, laughing stock of English football. Its like the town clown has won the lottory and bought a gold suit and the arse section has fallen off. <ok>

Penalty to City in 88th min. Handball. Seemed harsh as Aguero volleyed it at him from about a yard, but his arm was outstretched.

    Balotelli steps up...

    And scores!

They really do have **** fans. They are pretty much the Chelsea of the north.

    Lucky bastards.

And on the subject of fans they wil remind us all how they had 28000 turn up in division 2................... I however happen to know for many of these games they charged a £1 and gave free tickets to school kids all over lancashire and GM area.

And they can only manage 43,600 in the Champions League. Just 4,100 empty seats then...

Still, we know they're that little bit closer to being a big club now they've started getting dodgy decisions in their favour at home <ok>

True, I can add them to the list of clubs in on the conspiracy now.

    United
    Liverpool
    Chelsea
    Arsenal
    Everton
    Reading
    Sunderland
    Stoke
    Man City

Long way to go for City but they are willing to learn the ins and outs of it all, give it a year and they will be above Sunderland imo <ok>

I hope we have a go when we visit City in a few months time, instead of just defending and creating the odd chance

A truly pathetic club that managed to beat your club to the title last season!

Why do you suggest that they are the laughing stock of English football? Because they have money? Because they do not always have full houses? The fact that you actually said this suggests to me that you are envious of them...

At the end of the day they are a very good club, they have decent support and have been very successful recently, I fail to see how this makes them a laughing stock, unless of course you have decided to just say that because you have nothing else to say, remembering the fact that they are actually more successful at this present moment in time than your own club! <ok>

I am surprised that you use empty seats as some sort of gauge with regards to being a 'big club'! Who cares?

Most City fans I presume know their 'place' in Manchester, that is they are behind United in terms of attendances etc, this is down to x amount of years of United successes and x amount of years of City being in United's shadow. By quoting 'empty seats' it appears rather pathetic to me...as I said, who cares? Do attendance figures get you extra points each season? No! <ok>

Oh I don't know, maybe explain yourself in light of the questions I posed? Explaining why City are the laughing stock of English football would be a start, unless you consider 'empty seats' as some real major issue that requires no further explanation and as such this somehow validates your comment(s)!

If that is the case then yeah, your laughy smiley says it all....it's a pretty poor response but hey, if that is all you have then fair enough! <ok>

    Well if I must.

Manchester City who are by all intensive purposes a small club when compared to the giants of football have in recent years seen their club achieve success the fans could only dream of. They have seen players who frankly would never in a million years play for their club sign thanks to untold riches and yet, after winning the Premier League title, an amazing achievement for even the biggest of English clubs and against the Champions of the German league they cannot fill their stadium. Now it may only be a few thousand short but it is truly pathetic. A league cup game would be fair enough, its likely to be a second string team but a Champions League game against a bigger club?

Now as City fans all claim to be from Manchester its even more surprising, the weather shouldnt be an issue of course and tickets are not exactly expensive ( they were gloating about this not long back btw ) so its either a case of being too big for their boots ( they are **** all in Champions League terms, they are as big as Macabi Haifa, TNS solutions, Shelbourne FC <ok> ) or their fans are not as good as they would like us to believe.

That doesn't really explain why City are the laughing stock of English football does it?

They are now in the position to attract players due to 'untold riches', a position that the likes of United, Liverpool and Arsenal held dominance over for decades. Yes they did it very quickly, but I like the idea that a team can attempt to compete quickly because it would be impossible for them to compete gradually given the state of the game today, they just caught up quickly.

As for the filling of the stadium, does it really matter when you consider where they have came from as a club? Sure it would be nice for them to have a full house every game, but they don't have the fanbase that United have accumulated over the years, they are just starting to be successful, and it seems rather pathetic to have a go at them when we all know the facts that United are a bigger club.

The suggestion that City fans all claim to come from Manchester is bogus, of course they are not, but you use it as some sort of fact...you and I both know this is not true!

At the end of the day they are a small club when compared to United, most clubs are...but seeing a United fan use stuff like empty seats and attendance figures as a way of having a dig at them is rather pathetic to see to be honest...we all know the score, United are bigger than City as a club, but City are actually better than United as a team at the moment and it looks pretty sad to me to see this sort of one-upmanship being used!

When United were better than City on the pitch then this sort of stuff was rarely seen, now it has become important...enough said! <ok>
