Real vs Barca

Nothing like a good old fashioned bit of debate.

 

Boring so far

 

Messi isn't just as good with set pieces, have you seen how fast Ronaldo's free kicks rise and fall? No one else can take free kicks as good as Ronaldo. Their vision is equal, and Ronaldo's movement works in any league where as Messi doesn't get closed down as much as he should do in La Liga. Messi poses next to no threat in the air, where as Ronaldo is an excellent header of the ball.

I'd much rather have Ronaldo, but i personally think it would be better if people said Ronaldo and Messi are the 2 best players in the world, but not say who the clear winner is, because you can argue for and against either player.

Sometimes i think Messi and sometimes Ronaldo, but when it comes to a player i'd buy for my team it would be Ronaldo.

 

You cant say Messi wouldnt be effective in the PL when he hasnt played in it.

 

For every 1 that Ronaldo scores 10 hit the stands or wall. He's ****e. Messi 9 times out of 10 hits the target. Their vision is equal which is why Messi has the most assists in the league... and Ronaldo has 8. Movement is off the ball. Ronaldo stands still a lot. Walks about up front. Messi drops deep, is always in little pockets of space available for the quick passes. He also pops up in the area in the right places. His attacking play is perfect.

Messi scored a header in a Champions League final... against Ronaldo's United. I say Ronaldo's... was he playing? Bit of a ghost that day. Big game bottler.

I think it would be best to say Messi is the best, Xavi and Iniesta are 2nd and 3rd, whilst Ronaldo can take 4th.

Just like the Ballon D'Or said?

 

I never said he wouldn't be effective, but he'd be LESS effective, because we all know that you get closed down quicker and rougher in the PL, where as in La Liga most teams don't close you down enough and that's why Messi can get more goals in La Liga, he's an excellent dribbler but Spanish defenses allow him to get so many goals by standing off him too much.

That's ridiculous. It's understandable that people would say Messi is better, but Ronaldo is atleast 2nd.

 

Ballon D'or 2010. Messi, Iniesta, Xavi. That was 1st, 2nd, 3rd. The experts disagree with you Tash. Ronaldo is all smoke and mirrors. A show pony. He's class, yes. But too much of a **** to be the best. Messi's just an honest kid that loves football. He is by far the best. With Iniesta and Xavi 2nd and 3rd.

Messi isn't always honest, i've seen him dive quite a few times in these last few El Classico's.

I hate Ronaldo as a person, i hate his attitude, but he's a class player, and he's definitely the 2nd best player atleast.
