It's not everyone though, there will always be smaller clubs within the structure and there will always be fans of those clubs, it's a daft argument.

  2. What if you have a fan from Liverpool that attends games and maybe buys one shirt a season, but another from from Norway (had to be) that buys the weekly magazine every week, buys all the shirts and a few training tops and jackets plus attends most games.

In my opinion, one is clearly showing more commitment than the other but is that then fair on the scouser since they don't need to travel a long way and may have a house, car and family to support?

Basically, you can't put people into groups, every individual is different. Plus, if you charged different rates for people from different areas I am sure fair trade would be an issue too <ok>

Preach what , those tickets would not be used , are you saying now to the casual fan if he has access to a ticket can not use it ? That's completely different to reduced rates for locals .

Season tickets are non transferable and the holder could face a charge of ticket touting and lose the ticket.

You on the day/days that you've used someone elses ticket have 'deprived' a Liverpool supporter of a seat, that makes you a 'clingon' and also not a very good supporter of Southampton, after all don't they need your arse on a seat at St Mary's more than we need you getting given a freebie for Anfield.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Are you serious ? If I am in Liverpool and I have finished work and my mother in law says would I like to go to the game with my father in law I should turn around and say you can not do that as it's non transferable ? I can assure you Anfield wold be half full if that was enforced .

I'm not saying there wouldn't be a few 'transferred' tickets on any given matchday but are you saying every ticket that is goes to Southampton supporters or supporters of any other team bar Liverpool?

Whether you like it or not you are coming across as a hypocrite due to the fact that you're prepared to do what you think others shouldn't be entitled to do ie:-Support a team that's not from your home city/town/country and if when you went you weren't supporting either club on the day why the **** did you go.

You can't be a neutral and just watch the game as you love it ! Christ you sound a tad angry young man .
And yes you should support your local community and a football team comes under that otherwise there would only be a few teams , this is pretty obvious .

I live in Exeter, and I'm in a syndicate of 12 LFC members with linked accounts. We are guaranteed 8 tickets for every home game, but normally buy all 12. We usually use them all, but unused ones get sold to friends and family at face value. So far this season we've spent over £4000 on tickets ( due to having to buy tickets for games to the end of the year in July/August). Does that make me a cling on or glory hunter? We've been doing this for over ten years.

Don't swerve the point about 'clingons' like you depriving real Liverpool fans of matchday seats, our supporters from anywhere in the world are more entitled to tickets than neutral clingons.:emoticon-0105-wink:

But us locals cant all get tickets no matter what.

Reduced rates for kids who attend schools/live in the Anfield area? Yes.

Reduced prices for adults from the Anfield area? No, they should pay as much as any other adult for a ticket.

Why would gloryhunters support LFC these days ya loony tune? I'm local but don't expect preferential treatment. When I've lived outside Liverpool did that make me a non-local (despite being born and raised here and having had season tickets since I was a feckless yoof?) Do you own a time machine and have just travelled here from the 1930s and have found football has changed a bit?

Just so you know I've had a fair few bevvies with some of the "Oslo Reds" and they're top lads. Some of them boys have forgotten more about the game than you've ever known <ok>

What a bizarre thread...since the 1980's people all over the country had to move to find work. Moving don't change who you support and to punish someone who has had to move away by making them pay more is plainly stupid.
People have also moved away from areas because they can't afford the house prices/ rent etc.
Ticket prices should be lower to ALL fans as they are outrageously priced and are stopping normal fans from going to many matches. As a spurs fan in London I find it insulting that it is cheaper to go to a west end show than to go and see a spurs match.

I agree. The problem is though if club A reduces prices and then can't pay the mental wages then club B up the road pays more, buys better players and attracts people to watch the best players even at higher prices. How can these clubs be charging us extortionate amounts and STILL getting into crazy amounts of debt. Wages, wages, wages. What can be done about it? Probably nothing with current employment laws and even if one league caps salaries another league will keep paying them so the players don't give a **** (watch the talent drain from French football if the 75% tax on high earners goes through).

Ps...I doubt many people have had to move away from Anfield due to high rents and house prices <laugh>

Pps...you'd see less theatrics at a West End show than watching Bale every week <whistle>
