that would be ****ing hilarious! clegg the lurker just out of interest, is there not even the slightest possibility its just a very optimistic ipswich fan?
Supers, if he is an Ipswich fan he needs locking up for his protection, but i'm pretty sure it isn't.
Its good to see a couple of Newbies on our board and i for 1 welcome them. Anyway ... Clegg **** off your worse than useless... Jewell your just out of your depth .. He would do a better job if twat faced Clegg pissed off but he's still a poor manager . Imo
My first post was saying I would rather have Keane at the helm still, and in a way I wish he was. I think we all know that we wouldn't be languishing in 23rd place with a team much more capable, and I think he commanded more respect by demanding the money to buy players(he thought were capable) to take us forward. On the otherhand, it would be financially difficult to keep him content, and we would have stayed in a mid table position not progressing. Now on defense for PJ. He has had such a tight budget he can't bring anyone in off any decent value. I still think the money we paid for Paul Taylor is riduculous, and we could have brought a better player, maybe even 2 for that price. Last season says it all, with the purchase of Ellington! Why, on Gods Earth, is he still on our books?! Another flaw with Jewell, he has no backbone. I think he did want more money, we know he needed more money, and once Clegg had said no, he backed down. If he Jewell is trying to progress us, then why isn't he showing it with passion to the owners!
IpswichMidlander I disagree with nearly every part of that post. I think everyone knows my views on Keane and I still believe he is one of if not the worst thing to ever happen to our football club!!! Secondly I like the fact we are being prudent but clearly spending money when we feel we need to, unfortunately we've done it too late. I think like when ME first came in we've gone from one extreme to the other without really thinking of the concequences. There doesn't seem to be a solid plan. When ME first took over, he was prepared to throw money at it willy nilly, it was too much too soon, things changed too quickly, there was no long term plan in place. It seems we have a long term plan now, we are going for the young and hungry and keeping to the financial regulations but we've gone from this offering stupid money to players to the opposite very quickly perhaps without a short term vision!! Secondly with Paul Taylor, I think we've got a very good player there, one which all summer I heard would be going to the PL, I was pretty astounded we got him tbh!!! I've come to the conclusion on Clegg, that there are alot worse people out there to have as CEO although his rapport with fans is pretty awful, if we had a stable club over a few years, I don't think he would be much of a problem but because of the mess we are/have been in, I'm don't think he has the know how vision or football knowledge to know what is needed in tough times!!! If we were doing what we are doing now when ME first came over, I think it may well have been the right thing to do but unfortunately I don't think ME/Clegg have really known what the club has needed each time they have changed direction in terms of finances and managers etc!!!
PTC, as you know I normally agree with your pov but I cant see how we can removed £1m a month from our wage bill with Clegg/ Evans not saying anything and not call that bad management.
The idea of Keane still here and doing a decent job with us is laughable Some people obviously have short memories......
The plain fact of the matter is that we are paying for over 5 years poor team and boardroom management, we need a complete overhaul from top to bottom.
