In my opinion i am enjoying the football been played this season at the Kc, the passing, the attack minded approach, its all great to watch, the games are interesting, its not boring like the past two seasons, games at last have got shots and goals in them, one problem is the ones which are going into our net and thats a true assessment of how i am seeing these games, i am not one of these fans who if we win say how great the team played or lose and then there rubbish. now for the downside i come away from the game when we lose then i am gutted, im getting concerned that the team is letting goals in galore, get the defensive side of things right and it would be great, at the moment coming away having played well but let down by individual mistakes and losing is disappointing. something has to change, is it the tactics ?, is it just individual mistakes ?, Do we need to go back to 4 4 2, Are we lacking a real leader in the middle of the park someone like Ian Ashbee?. I am sure Bruce will get the balance right in the end and when he does we will have a very very good side but at the moment its so frustrating. Thoughts anyone everyones got there own opinion

It's frustrating for us fans to dominate games and come away with nothing but it will be even more frustrating for Steve Bruce. i'm sure he will sort things out and I think a new centre back will be high on his list

I've just seen Aluko's goal & the last one of theirs on SSN, just think that again piss poor defending for it, but, straight after they showed the Wolves goal v Palace, now that was a terrible defensive error, the only difference was, it didn't cost Palace the win.

I think we should go back to 4-4-2 for now, and play solid stop the losing streak.

    Amos
    Rosenior Macca Faye Dudgeon
    Elmo Oli Quinn Aluko
    Simpson Proschwitz

Koren hasn't cut it for me recently, no where near. Give big Nick ago, if it doesn't work out for him just yet, Fryatt is back after the international break.

I would be amazed if our captain was dropped

A captain who doesn't get involved, doesn't put the effort in that players like Quinn, Simpson, and Dudgeon do, does not deserve to be starting, never mind our captain.

3 - 5 - 2 last night cost us One goal and 4 - 4 - 2 cost us 2 goals. All 3 as said were howlers of the highest order.

Yes its frustrating but the football is great to watch. Its not a change of system - tactics or formations etc etc thats needed.

What has to change and its the only change needed is...... CUT OUT THESE BLOODY AWFUL ERRORS THAT SCHOOLBOYS WOULD BE ASHAMED TO MAKE.

With the exception of maybe Aluko & Elmo, Koren is our most skillful player and yes whilst he isn't an 'in your face' player like Quinn or Dudgeon, his quality has the potential to win us matches and has won us matches on numerous occasions

Its okay having the potential to do it, but when he is playing a position where you need someone who is going to deliver those bits of quality on a weekly basis, he is not doing it and just because he has the ability doesn't mean he has a right to be starting every week.

If mistakes keep happening as of late and don't staring winning I could see us by christmas beeing at the wrong end of the table--surely Brucey can sort out the defence he was one of the highest order

Your preferred team had Koren dropped and Proschwitz starting. Your statement above suits Proschwitz just as much as Koren

Now, according to my good friend Charles, I'm not entitled to an opinion on Steve Bruce's HC as last night was the first game I've seen, but nonetheless here it is!

The defensive errors apart, I really didn't sit there for 90 minutes and think I was witnessing a good attacking team like most people on here seem to think we are.

Koren looked anonymous for most of the game and certainly not the same player as I last watched when he was playing in Barmby's 3 behind the striker.

I think we desperately missed McKenna or someone of the same ilk in the midfield. Oli looked nowhere near the player he's supposed to be, he has more 'flair' than McKenna but thought we desperately lacked someone to mop up in that area last night.

I watched Barry Ferguson for a while last night and he commanded the ball and a lot of the play went through him, be it a simple pass or otherwise, but he seemed to want the ball. I don't think we had anyone in the side who commanded the ball, went looking for it and seemed comfortable taking that responsibility.

I thought Amos was poor. He doesn't command the area, his distribution is too slow and allowed Blackpool to get back into position when, several times last night Elmo was free on the right and could have launched a quick counter attack.

Elmo himself seems to be an older yet similarly frustrating player as Cameron Stewart. Lots of pace but didnt seem to have much of an end product. When Rosie came on Elmo ignore him bombing on past him a lot which I found frustrating.

Bruce Jnr has a very limited game. He failed to make some simple passes last night and his only ball out was diagonally to Elmo but I cant actually remember one pass that reached him.

I thought Aluko and Quinn were the stand out players. Both very intelligent in their movement and caused lots of problems especially when Quinn was moved out wide.

It was a strange experience as I think only Koren in the starting XI last night started the last game I went to under Barmby but I couldn’t help thinking that the 11 we started with in that last game was a stronger starting line up than last night.

Remind me how many games Proschwitz has started this season? Or even how many minutes he has actually played and put it in comparison to Koren, and at least Proschwitz looks willing to fight for a place and like he wants it.

I think we do look a decent attacking side after watching the last two seasons but i do agree we have flair players in the side but do we have that do or die strong tackling main man who drives others on when were up against it, i think not

He's started three and come on as a sub in another two and apart from a half decent cameo at Leicester, he's looked very poor. I'm sure he'll improve and he will get a run at some point, but even after a couple of lacklustre performances from Koren, he still looks by far the better player.

The point I was making is the reason why I would not have Koren in my team at the moment and I would have Proschwitz up top, I find nothing more frustrating than when a player doesn't look interested.
