http://www.thesackrace.com/news/2nd-october-2012/mark-hughes-new-favourite-for-the-sack Mark Hughes is feeling the heat at QPR following their woeful start to the new campaign. The Welshman's expensively assembled squad has so far failed to gel, reflected in their position at the foot of the table, with just two points from their opening six matches. The club's 2-1 defeat at home to West Ham on Monday has piled the pressure on Hughes and as a result the bookmakers have reacted by installing the 48-year-old as the new favourite in the Next Premier League To Be Sacked betting market. http://www.thesackrace.com/competitions/premier-league RDM is still sixth favourite despite our encouraging start to the season and being a CL winner! Madness. Both him and AVB are stronger favourites than Brendan to be sacked. Thoughts? I guess RDM is a marked man as RA has maybe lined up JM or PG anyway!
Unfortunately, anyone who manages us will always be very short odds for the tin-tack! The bookies would be broke otherwise!
He was class for us, ESP against Liverpool in the FA Cup. What sticks in my mind more is his approach to signing Terry, which in hindsight might have been a right laugh to have watched the repercussions of, an his over riding arrogance in general. Latterly of course his involvement with that shower of ****e in Shepherd Bush further compounded his removal from my sympathies.
Rodgers will be dining out for months on that win against Norwich. I don't think it's particularly logical having RDM as low odds for next sacking, Roman is clearly waiting for Guardiola or possibly Mourinho so unless you're outisde of the top 4 I can't see him being sacked until the end of the season.
I think if we get top 4 with a decent run in the Cups he will stay on for a second year. Certainly hope so, as we can do with a bit of stability. Also like the way he is gradually sorting out his team, using most of the squad, still winning , and the team improving. Don't think anyone could do it better to be honest. A bloody difficult job, being well done.
I think it's unlikely. The ridiculous amount of time it took for Abramovich to even give him a proper contract suggests that RDM wouldn't be assured of a job next year unless he won another 2 trophies this season.
