Fox has been called up by Scotland for 2 games and will join them after the Fulham game. I'm rapidly losing my 'it's an honour' feeling and am acquiring the 'leave our players alone' mood which is typical of PL sides. They come back injured (even when they don't play like Tadanari) or they miss valuable team time. Pleased for Fox but we can't seem to get this season going.
It's just a part of being in the Premier league. Personally, I prefer 46 league games a season, with no interruptions.
I thought the majority were happy to see Fox not playing for us? Has he been forgiven after the defensive display on saturday?
I cannot see the point in slagging him off, for the moment he is probably the best option, like him or not, we should be encouraging him to do better, any other option is a none starter as it won't make a jots worth of difference to the situation.
I don't give a **** about Internationals. I am only interested in Saints. Fox can play them if he wants as I don't want him in the side. Maybe he can play himself into some form
You can only hope that the recent problems that he has been having, may have affected his natural game, if the injuries/ill health are behind him, he may well be able to put in a good shift or two, it is very easy to criticise if you are not fully informed of any problems and this Club never washes its dirty linen in public, so we never get to know the full truth, although NA did hint that he (Fox) had been suffering from a chest infection. I will still give him my backing as long as he is playing for us, blinkered, maybe but positive, definitely.
We have progressed so fast that decent players good enough last season are struggling this year. Bit harsh to criticize players who are trying their best. I'm sure Fox will make a contribution this season.
Gld to see him going up to join the Scottish squad, different training methods and a break from a difficult start to the season will do him good and might come back with more confidence and ready to be more effective when he gets a chance for Saints Best of luck to him!
Last year he got little or no support from Lallana or the mÃdfield. It can't have done much for his confidence being left exposed to both the winger and the overlap. I think he's got better performances in him.
His distribution is awful , the Bent goal for Villa sums his footballing prowess up , he looked around for offside and or for someone to blame , he is a crap footballer .
