when we go to bury on saturday do you want us to drop you off at old trafford on the way so you can see what the ground looks like, being a man u fan i know you have never seen a game there ,but then again how many manure fans have
Very true. Same goes for a number of these Premier club fans. It amazes me how anyone can get emotional about a team when they have never lived in the vicinity, or had any emotional connection with the place and, in many cases have never even been to the ground. Our roots are with Wycombe and we support them through thick and thin. I just can't get emotional about any other team (except England of course).
Now chaps, I've only been in Bucks from Nottingham for about nine years so I still carry a torch my home town club, but it does not mean I don't get as caught up in wanting WW to do well, as I do watching the mighty reds fail to get promotion yet again!
i have supported spurs home and away since i was seven but since moving to wycombe some 25 years ago its the blues for me now but i still have the mighty spurs in my heart
It's no wonder I'm so emotional about the Blues then. I was born in HW and grew up within walking distance of Loakes Park when Wycombe were in the Isthmian League. I have great memories of attending semi finals at Highbury, Doncaster and Villa Park, 4 finals at Wembley and most of the matches in our fantastic FA Cup run (I was in France during the Carling Cup run). Apart from the temporary rental of an equestrian yard in Heath & Reach for just under 2 years, the furthest I ever moved fron HW was Bellingdon, where I lived for 20 years. Prior to that, Hazlemere and Downley. I'm Wycombe to the core. I be Bucks I be.
