1) Aluko (first goal was a beauty) 2) McShane (probably helped due to the fact I expected the worst, but considering his lack of game time, fair play to the lad) 3) Simmo (Thought he was unlucky, was tireless and held the ball up well)
Dudgeon - thought he was was first class tonight; again. Quinn - Worked tirelessly and the goal was very well taken. Oli - Absolutely bossed midfield. I feel bad for Sone Aluko and Elmo; both had cracking games but those three take it for me. Thought Brucey was outstanding before he went off too which was a real shame. Then McShane; sorry you all might be getting loved up with him after one good game; he wasn't as good as the before mentioned. Oh and sorry; but I thought Ben Amos was absolutely **** tonight. Kicking poor again, at least one of the goals was his fault... where's Eldin to push him for his place?
1 Dudgeon/Quinn (looked to be reading each others game well all game) 2 Aluko (what a goal) 3) Oli (although he really didn't look 100% fit, but we d be lost without him) NB I d love to give Macca credit for a great performance under pressure, but I just can't!
Never! Bruce just stood there and watched Delfouneso casually stroll into the box and pull it back to Phillips to slot home for their first, he never even thought about closing down or making a challenge. McShane was solid and put in a few last ditch tackles preventing them from getting behind us. The best thing Bruce did all game was pull his groin!
Bit bloody harsh! He made some great tackles at the back! Plus for their first goal; Abdou Faye HAD to be at fault for simply letting the ball roll under his foot. McShane was GOOD; Im not denying that, but still wasn't as good as the rest I mentioned. That's my opinion.
Quinn Oli Dudgeon Thought Aluko was ****e to be honest. Disinterested first half, sulked a bit then scored a screamer.
Could go either way Other than that awful clearance at Ewood, saturday and tonight I've thought he's been quite solid, but if his injury forces his dad into playing 4-4-2 and it works, it will be for the best. I thought we looked much more solid and dangerous when we switched to 4-4-2 as I said on 2 other threads. Watching Elmo and rosey and dudge and quinn/aluko interchange was a real joy and for a long period we consistently tore Blackpool a pair of new arseholes on the wings turning their fullbacks inside out, just a shame only one of those chances cracked out a mighty slap on the cows arse with the banjo. Probably the most difficult one to score as well
Dudgeon- Great challenge for our second. Works well up and down the wing. Quinn- got forward well all game & his goal was well worked. Looked more up for it compared to Koren. Pity he can't tackle but neither can the rest of the midfield. Simpson- the bloke needs more support upfront
funny how people see things differently..ive always stuck up for oli, but when is he going to put a challenge in a man of his size should be and letting people know they are in a game! bruce made a quality challenge during that 1st half, and i thought our defence was weaker for him going off, if where judging centre backs on the number of goals theyve been responsible for this season, then the premier league bound golden boy who was absent tonight is the runaway leader.. 1-quinn 2-aluko 3-mchshane
Aluko McShane Quinn If you want someone who can make a last ditch tackle, then Bruce is your man, but he's no quality footballer, his aimless balls forward tonight were appalling.
Ben Amos is as bad as Gulacsi (almost) just what the **** was he doing for their 3rd? I had my doubts about him, tonight's performance has confirmed it. He's ****ing rubbish, he's not good enough to play in goal at this level yet. He's part of a goal keeping/defending unit that has conceded 11 goals in 4 games. That's not a good position to be in if we have to score 3+ goals to get a point or 3. I wished we had spent money on making Mannone a permanent signing, before he got the chance to impress at Arsenal. He's a great keeper, Amos has got ****ing no chance of dislodging Jo Hart from the England GK jersey.
just mentioned on another thread i am not convinced by him, dont think hes terrible just not great.. little things like the 1st goal on saturday, if you watch he barely moves off his line to close the angle, made it far too easy to be rounded imo.. maybe nitpicking, just dont have that clean sheet confidence in him just yet.
