The officials were awful, the linesman couldn't wait to get his flag up to go against us, Aluko's goal was clearly onside, Aluko should have won a penalty, Phillips was offside for their 2nd, the ref was abysmal etc etc but then again, the defending for all of them was dire.
He didn't give it because it was in the area. Anywhere else on the pitch, or if it was the defender going down, it's an obvious foul and we all know it. I'd love to be able to speak to the ref and see what he'd say in response to that.
Maybe the same reason that he did not award a penalty to Blackpool in trhe 2nd half when Faye pulled K.Phillips shirt. Aluko told Burnsy after the game that the ref. said it was a fair challenge.
