To be honest, I'd rather never speak again than be "friendzoned". And by that logic, might as well go all or nothing.

Oh yeah, being friendzoned would suck. I just feel blurting out "What do you think about being more than friends?" would massively increase your chances of either being friendzoned or never speaking again. One of my friends I've thought about the possibility of a relationship with. If I go in all guns blazing ala the McDonald's action, I'll let you know how it goes!

The befriending first routine rarely works, as you have blurred the lines. Making it obviously you like them may be embarrassing and not something you usually do but you will save yourself a lot of agony and nothing bad can happen <cheers>.

Was wondering how the policeman felt about getting McIlroy to the course on time. He said, 'People say that I cost the USA the Cup, but I reply that the match should be decided on the course, not in traffic.' Top man.

I reckon you should have gone undercover as a Saints supporter. Start the slow and inevitable process to becoming a Saint. (A slightly tainted one, but that smell will wear off! :emoticon-0105-wink:) Like one of those films where the undercover cop actually becomes a criminal.

Red and white is irresistible to the ladies – just ask Fran or Mrs. Godders...

Best place to chat up the ladies is at the gym, helps if you go 3/4 times a week so seen as a reg. Start up a convo easy then about any random thing about gyming, just act as if you know alot more then you do. Could even offer to help her out with her gyming routine.

I did the Mcflurry thing well kind of, mine was early hours of the morning after clubbing went to the drive through. Ordered a Mcflurry and saw a good looking girl waiting in line to get served. So offered her my Mcflurry and being a little drunk asked if she want a shag, it worked <laugh>.

(Was a teenager back then so don't hold it against me :p )

When I lived in Kent [Egerton Forstal was the little hamlet], the place was awash with London, East-End or East-End sounding, accents. Not unnatural, you might think, as a lot of people do move between the London and Kent areas, and far east London is a part of Kent anyway. Imagine my surprise then, when we spent the weekend around the Hythe and Dymchurch area, to hear locals talking with a distinct burr to their accents. I enquired about this and was told that this was the true Kent accent. The presence of the London, east-end accent was due to 100's of people being brought in by train, in the past, to pick the hops. They liked the area so much that many of them returned when they were financially able and settled in Kent. Then they spread the word, so to speak. [sorry about the puns there].

I have found that the true Sussex accent has a bit of a burr too, as of course does the Hampshire accent, and the distinctive sound gradually increases until it reaches Cornwall, where the accent is the full Robert Newton..! ;)

Yes, there are distinct differences in pronunciation and tonal qualities, but I can sort of see what Swords Hoopster was getting at. A Liverpudian girl once said I should have a stick of straw at the corner of my mouth...!

Jeez..! What a hairdo..! I'm struggling to remember the player. Chelsea [obviously], and a Centre Back or Centre Half as they used to be called then. From the 1970's. John Dempsey..! Blimey, that one was buried deep.

The friendzone doesn't exist and is only used as an excuse by guys that suck with girls. If you're "friend zoned" she was either never interested to begin with or you played your cards really badly.

    Also: hey guys!

I have a question for the ale aficionados out there. I have a few cans of Old Speckled Hen, a beverage with which I am unfamiliar, which expired in August. I intend to drink it anyway. What can I expect to have happened to the ale in the couple of months since its expiration date? Am I a fool for drinking it?

They probably reckon it had the best flavour before August, but alcohol doesn't turn to poison...should be absolutely fine.
