Bit more on the official site. http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/120927-smiths-new-contract-394508.aspx
Thanks for the signature last night Gianfranco. Bloody nice bloke as well as being a footballing legend. Hopefully he will be thought of as a managerial legend too in the not so distant future! COYH!
I had forgotten about Tommie. Plus they do train with the first team. So its not like they are ignored or abandoned.
As the boys and I are flying back here the day after, with the change in time I may as well go down that morning and stay in a hotel overnight and then go to Gatwick from there although that does pose a problem of what youngest does while pie and I are at the match. Not sure either my mum or my sister would want to make a special trip on a Sunday to bring him to Gatwick to meet up with us and he certainly won't go on a train on his own. I could always try and persuade him to come to the match, but it's almost certain that he'll say no.
It's not that, he's the one with AS and because before he was diagnosed, he found the crowds at matches a bit intimidating, even at the Vic where he knew it was all Watford fans in our area, he doesn't want to go again. I've even asked him in the last hour or so if he'll go, and the answer was an emphatic no.
It would seem lucky that we do have a large squad of players to choose from if this list is anything to go by. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9959079.Vydra_could_return_at_the_Valley/
I wonder what Zola sees as McGinn's best position? Looks like the centre backs will be the same as Saturday, which I think is very important. I'm sure Neuton will come good with time, and for Hoban this season is about playing five to ten games, putting in performances good enough for us not to make panic signings if one or two defenders get injured.
Not really sure if this is good for me. This is one I am intending on going to (with my Brighton-supporting ex). May make the train home a bit more of a pain, having to go via Southampton!
Interesting interview with Neuton; http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...cnews/9954460.Neuton___I_can_do_much_better_/ I like his attitude
The issue will not be with players that have already graduated from the Academy, it will be with the new intake of students this term year just started and future years. It is proof however of the standard that has been flowing through the Academy and should encourage the club to continue to invest in it in the future
I think it also proves that Zola values the players who have graduated and values the work the academy does to develop such talents. I honestly believe that Harefield will not suffer.
http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/120924-tickets-pre-boro-388220.aspx So come on guys and gals, if you have saturday free and are looking for something to do get yourself down to the Vic and get behind the Golden Boys!!!
