Matthews is very doubtful to play as he has a heavy strapping on his ankle. He wore it at the Airport, I heard that on the radio.

I'm thinking Forrest will be an impact sub as well.

Mulgrew might be in midfield again meaning Spartak's right winger (pos. McGeady although he plays centrally for them now) would be doubled up on and there's cover for Izzy - on the right, Broon will do the same thing for (probably) Lustig.

I think Tam's team will be closest although I don't see Commons not starting - possibly move Broon inside and Ledley on the bench (still coming back).

It's good to have so many options for the midfield just now.

And yes, I'm aware that this post is basically me repeating an earlier one.

Right-back Adam Matthews is a doubt for Celtic's Champions League clash with Spartak Moscow.

The Wales international travelled with his foot in a protective cast due to an ankle problem, while striker Lassad Nouioui is out with a calf injury.

Spartak will be without first-choice goalkeeper Andriy Dykan, who has a damaged shoulder.

Captain Sergei Parshivlyuk, Brazil international midfielder Romulo and leading striker Welliton also miss out.

Evgeni Makeev, Nicolas Pareja, Marek Suchy and Kirill Kombarov are also listed as injury worries by manager Unai Emery.

Former Russia Under-21 international Sergei Pesyakov is back after a loan spell with Rostov and could start in goals ahead of 28-year-old compatriot Artyom Rebrov.

Matthews turned his ankle in training on Friday and missed Saturday's 2-0 victory over Motherwell at Fir Park.

Striker Georgios Samaras and midfielder Joe Ledley continued their comebacks from injury as they appeared from the bench at the weekend.

Israel midfielder Beram Kayal, who returned after a month's absence against Raith Rovers in midweek, was an unused substitute as Celtic moved to the top of the Scottish Premier League.

Spartak gave Barcelona a fright before losing 3-2 at Camp Nou in their Group G opener and since losing in Spain, Spartak have won three domestic games in a row.

The latest was a 3-1 win away to Amkar that lifted the Moscow side to fifth place in Russia's top flight, four points adrift of leaders Anzhi Makhachkala.

They seem to be in a bit of form and caused barca troubles so game will be tricky. If lady luck favours us then we could catch them on the break.

    Lustig--------Wilson------Ambrose-------Izzy

    -------------Wanyama---Mulgrew

    Brown-------------Commons----------Sammy

The great Fergus mean't, when he said that he would only listen to people who felt they had a complaint to make, when
they were actually contributing to the club as season ticket holders or share owners. He felt these people deserved to
be listened to, but couldn't understand why people who did not love Celtic enough to be either a share owner or a season ticket
    holder could actually care.
I can see some value in Maltese Mick's contribution and it would be ideal if there was some way of ring fencing it to be available
only outside a certain distance from Parkhead with exceptions for ill and disabled fans who just cannot travel to stadium. As another
Celtic great, Jock Stein said without fans you cannot have football, so it would be foolish of Celtic to provide blanket Tv coverage that
would greatly reduce the attendance. Another not great Celtic person, but a cheating low life from Govan, David Murray spoke
regularly of TV taking over football and the club paying fans to come in a create atmosphere ( unfortunately we know what that means
in Govan. I don't think Celtic want to go that way yet. I hope that soon the Celtic fans who try to go as often as possible are
able to view the matches they cannot make.
