Clueless is exactly the word a lot are using on here about Hughes including myself. Is he having a swipe at us?

 

I hope so. The majority of our fans are clueless.

 

I think Fernandes is right. A lot of fans ARE clueless.

Is he having a swipe at us? Yes, I would suggest he is having a go at the some of the OUT brigade and those know all's who think they know how to run a football club. Not suggesting you are one Ciarrai but there are a lot of fans who think they should be running things.

He better look closer to home then. He is paying Hughes £ 3 million a year to be Manager, yet a lot of us clueless idiots on here seem to get it right more often than Hughes. Certainly we did last night.

Whatever Hughes is being paid there is no evidence to date that he is worth it.

He saved us last year when all the experts said we were doomed with 6 of our last 10 games against the top 6 sides. There's evidence.

 

There were a lot of us clueless ones that wouldn't have started with SWP or Park including me, and a hell of a lot more that would have had one or both them subbed at half time (esp Park), judging by the match thread. The turn around in our game when they were eventually taken off, most of us at least noticed, just hope maybe Hughes picked it up too!!!

I don't know how much Hughes earns, and the exact amount isn't really the point, but if I remember right that is what was reported on a list North has put on here recently for earnings as March 2012- 12th highest paid manager in the World think he was listed as. Maybe it's rubbish but he's paid a lot for doing that job, which he is doing very badly now. Go look at the table and the players we have brought in if you don't agree.

I actually believe we were saved despite Hughes. It all started when we beat Liverpool in a game where we were totally outclassed. Stoke also did us a big favour don't forget. Finglas you are obviously a Hughes fan, I'm not based on what I have seen so far. I really hope you are right and he can turn things around. With the players at his disposal we should be no where near the drop zone. I wouldn't call him a success if he only just keeps us up.

I am not quoting figures on what Hughes is paid.

As regards who starts, who gets subbed etc. our opinions as fans are not relevant. I wanted Park and SWP to be replaced last night too but as a fan, I had to wait for the Manager to make the changes he saw fit. The Manager is paid to pick his team and we have to trust their judgement.
