Because he answered my post so he must have taken me off his ignore list. He must have read it. I can't remember why I was on his or he on mine but who gives a whatsit? It's Spurs I care about and I prefer to post with Spurs supporters not wonkstains like Luke who just kept on trying to make us feel bad by continually posting about our record against UTD. Borrox to him.

HI TMT, yep I cleared all my ignore list out a while ago, as I thought it would be good to make a clean start

LDL and DL went pretty much straight back on it

While I wouldn't be rude about LDL like yourself, as he seems a decent bloke and poster. The fact is he posts way too much on here, and the suspicion I and many others have is that he is a glory-hunting 'Manc' (I think he comes from Oldham) who doesn't really care about them too much except to use their superiority to take a dig at other clubs. He seems to be far more interested in Spurs than Utd, so if he came out of the glory closet and started supporting us, I'd happily tke him off my list.

DL is self-explanatory, again on here far too much and thinks that chelsea were much better pre their double windfall of Harding and RA than they were

It's his perogative of course, but it just makes for bad debates on here, so I leave him and LDL to it. They can say what they want cos I ain't listening - ner ner ner - puts fingers in ears :cheesy:

Really don't get why people use the ignore button. Good or bad I am always interested in what other Spurs (or non spurs) fans have to say. I can choose to ignore it once I've read it, but there must be some threads that make very little sense if one or two ignored posters dominate for a while.

And TMT, if GH10 was on your ignore list, how did you know he quoted you? I suspect you are as adverse to this as I am. I am really pleased GH10 reversed he previous position of having several of us on ignore, cause it is interesting to debate with him. Don't always agree, but it would be boring if everyone did. To my knowledge he has never been abusive so see absolutely no reason to do it.

    Rant over.

Well I posted what was for once I thought a worthwhile post and GHoddle answered so I just pressed view post so I answered it,Ok. Old DL is right about throwing last week away by losing or drawing to Villa. I don't think we will lose it but it's a good judge after Saturday. A good win and we are flying.

    Cheers SD

I probably over-use the ignore button, but as you rightly say I'm not abusive to anyone, so I don't accept it from others. But sometimes as in the case of LDL and DL I use it, because I think as fans of other and more succesful clubs, they're on here far too much rubbing our noses in it. This is frankly hilarious in the case of DL as we were a way bigger and more successful club than chelsea before they started getting their cash injections, and many would argue that actually we're still bigger than them.

I wouldn't want to get into the argument, but the lack of humility from DL over the way Chelsea have bought their success, means I don't want to read his views on here. He's welcome to them on the Chelsea board of course, but I never go over there anyway. Would probably see my blood pressure go through the roof, reading the self-congratulatory stuff they must write.

I can't speak for LDL but I'm not here to talk about Chelsea whilst I'm on this board. I'll go on the Chelsea board for that as I would go on the QPR, Arsenal, Liverpool or United boards if I wish to talk about their teams (bar the rival thread).

I don't feel the need to compare Spurs to Chelsea so perhaps that says more about your insecurities than anything else but the period of 1995-Now is as relevant as any other period of history. Money always been a key factor in determining success, the only difference now is the way it is conceptualized simply because the cartel that have dominated over the last 40-50 years aren't the same ones dominating now. At current Liverpool, United and Spurs/Arsenal (4 of the old big 5) aren't even the top sides in their city anymore which grates the media.

If you choose to ignore me that's your prerogative but personally I like hearing views from fans of all clubs. It would be boring if everybody had the same view. To me, Chelsea are the greatest and best club in the world, just as Spurs are to you. After all, that's what football and supporting a football team is about <ok>

I've never denied we have bought our success and I've never come on here gloating about what we have won, the difference is those that castigate us for buying success (namely Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, United) are quick to distance themselves from doing the same, which is by definition, hypocrisy.

Supporting my local team who had not won anything in over 2 decades, having watched us get spanked endless times as a youngster by the most ridiculous of teams and taken endless stick and gloating off my friends and family many of whom are Arsenal fans, I can't see why anyone would begrudge someone like me the joy of seeing my team do well, that goes double for City fans who have had to watch United win everything at least twice throughout their entire lives and gone 4 decades rather than just the 2 for us.

Should Spurs have success of any kind, sure as a Chelsea fan it will hurt, but I won't and wouldn't begrudge you or any of your fans success for one minute. You've seen us and Arsenal win everything so when your time comes fair play :emoticon-0150-hands

District,I'm sure you're happy to be where you are but what pi$$e$ me off is that you never acknowledge that you're the luckiest team on the planet and you and your other Chelsea fans can't see this. You're in a false position because of offsides etc. I actually agree with some of the stuff you post and you are not on my ignore list.

    Many cheers.

It's actually been far wilder of a ride than I expected. My big goal was to give myself enough of a rooting interest to enjoy the Prem.

Flash forward to a man dressed from head to toe in what he believes is the world's luckiest possible clothing, humming the same seven note tune at a computer screen over and over again because it seems to ease the pressure on a football team two thousand miles away.

So, clearly, it's going very well. A cup win--any cup win--is what I'm hoping for. But I can wait. And this game was just amazing. I guess I'll have to stop replaying it in my mind at some point.

I'm not sure I'd watch it again, though. I'd be too afraid Chris Hoy would run in and point to the spot after the Kagawa dive if I did.

Great stuff RWB - I love the American attitude to sports and have said elsewhere I really like the American take on soccer.

I so hope you get your Cup wish and you're enjoying the Spurs ride.

It's a cruel addiction at times I can tell you, but I wouldn't change it.

TMT, I am sure it is not a lot of us. Really would urge you take people off of the ignore list. Only reason I can see for it is if someone is actually being abusive - which LIDL (and DL) certainly isn't. As a Spurs supporter I am genuinely interested to hear the views of other teams. It gets irritating when they come here just to gloat over a victory (and I must stop doing that on theirs), or to have a pointless debates about who is the bigger club etc, but on the whole it is reasoned debate. With DL, I have noticed that he posts more interestingly here than he does on the Chelsea board (pack mentality <laugh>), and that is about showing respect to the fact that he is coming on to our board.

With Luke, I think we all know he is a repressed Spurs supporter (he knows more than me about the club sometimes) and we are all here for him in his difficult transition. Seriously, he does provide insight into how our club is viewed elsewhere and I would urge you, again, to stop with the ignore and see the whole conversation. <ok>.

Should we sticky this, and then each week check if it is Saturday, Sunday or Monday we play and change the title accordingly?
