I said Diouff would be a brilliant addition from the beginning. Doesn't really matter what the player was like off the field. Sure he's done some very stupid things on it but all players make mistakes. And so far he's been our best player and has shown maturity. Winding the Everton fans up was good because Diouff thrives off of chants at him and boo's.

My goodness, somehow I slipped under the radar and escaped Jerel's 'execution list'. I too was totally, and vocally, against Diouf joining our proud club due to his despicable acts and foul reputation. I never even gave his footballing qualities a moment's though. It was all about the man's personal habits and behaviours. But the decision was made by Warnock, and, as with all of his decisions, I backed him all the way. I wasn't pleased about it, but it wasn't going to help the club if I somehow launched a campaign against him. You've got to hand it to Warnock - he's made silk out of a sow's ear. You can't fault the guy's ability to put a team together in adverse circumstances. Now I find myself hypocritically looking at Diouff's footballing qualities, and not even thinking about his propensity for despicable acts. Complete turnaround on my part, and tbh, I hadn't really noticed that I'd developed such a blind spot. Now that I pause to reflect, the awful thought has returned to me that he might just besmirch the name of the club. Am I going to object to him playing for us now? Am I hell !! We need all the help we can get. This big fat hypocrite is right behind him!

This was all true to me at the time as far as I'm concerned. However, I'll totally hold my hands up about the second part in particular and say I will back him.

Everything he has done so far has only benefited our team and from what I have read he is immense in the dressing room. Yes he has a history which at times has been despicable, but until or unless he actually does something I cannot condone while at our club I'll now be fully behind him.

We all have a right to change our opinions. Put the shoe on the other foot and think about all the praise we gave the likes of Cantona and Kewell before they did what they did.

I backed the lad from the start (see prev posts) as i do every Leeds player, some people are a bit silly, but this case shows no matter what reputation you have in football, or what has gone on in the past, put in quality performances in the shirt, and the crowd follow.

I am sticking by my word. I don't like him and in fact its almost a hatred.

I am willing to accept that he has actually done better on the pitch than I expected him to, I'm not sure whether this is because I didn't expect him to be able to do anything or whether he has actually done a "special" job.

No matter though, I still cannot bring myself round to him and if he was kicked out of the club tomorrow, I'd be happy with it. I feel as though football should have some sort of standards and players like Diouf are not the kind of people that make football better

I think John Terry should be sacked by Chelsea and never play again. He is despicable, and is not the kind of person who should be held up as a legend and role model. Chelsea fans think otherwise because he's performing on the pitch. Suarez likewise at Liverpool. Did I want Diouf at Leeds? No! Did Warnock want him? Yes! Am I pleased Diouf is behaving himself and playing well? Yes! Do I think there's a chance he will implode at some point? Yes! Will I want Leeds to give him a second chance if he does go off the rails? No!

I hate to turn the thread but while I hate Terry as he just strikes me as a ****ing dickhead thug, not only this he is overrated by many, he was unfairly treated by the FA and I actually don't think he was guilty.

But then I don't know how you say this about Suarez and Terry but then accept Diouf. Now my morales may be different to others but imo Diouf is a far worse figure than both Terry and Suarez

How the **** can anyone say Douif is worse than terry.

FFS, He was shagging his best mate wife.

THats has low has you can go.

The reason people like Josh and Simon, wont accept him, is because it would mean they would have to accept they were wrong.

He gets paid to play football, all this morale thing is a Cop out. What he does on the pitch is all that matters

I didnt want him at first.

But he's different to what I thought he was, I harshly judge him.

He's Hardworking, a team player, and comes across has a good bloke
