Anyone who predicts an away win in Soopers prediction comp needs their heads looking at.

    I have 2 choices for Saturday -

    1. Go to West Brom and suffer
    or
    2. Stay at home and plumb in the rads in the extension that I've been putting off all Summer, save thick end of £80 quid and take the wife for a ruby

    Hmmmm (rubs chin) choices, choices...

I wouldn't write the West Brom match off just yet. It depends whether we can get some defenders back from injury, and MH uses Hoilett and Taraabt properly. The effect Adel had on the psychology of the 9 starting players last night when he came on was amazing. They'd come out after half time looking as if they had the weight of the world on their shoulders. I agree with TF, but for Diakite's naive tackling we could have got, well, a point anyway and may be three. We had them on the ropes.

Our end is sold out, if you've not got a ticket.

I'm not writing anything off Goldie, you know me to be generally optimistic. However I fear I will make the journey just to see SWP and Park start on either wing again and I'm not sure I need that added stress. West Brom aren't 6th or whatever on luck alone.

The radiators and push fit pipe fittings have more allure this Saturday I think.

If Hughes leaves Taarabt and Hoillett on the bench again Saturday that will push me over the edge into the HICC camp

I have my ticket but might pass it to Nipper instead so he can take his missus.

You're a cup full kinda guy, Wubba, so your despair makes me sit up and take note! I think Adel will feature - Hughes has been reluctant after the poor defensive display (of all the players) against Swansea. But after last night, and seeing the form Adel is in, MH should be playing him at least as a sub. I can't believe MH won't be having a big rethink this morning. I've got a ticket and I feel instinctively we won't just see more of the same as last night's first half.

You will ony flood the extension. Go to the game and at least we will get a decent report on what happens. The way things are going we might even win.

I sincerely hope you are right. On doctors orders I'm on a booze ban and have only cheese left to drown my sorrows in. This is less than ideal. Watching us get beat and having only decaff Earl Grey tea and some Greek feta makes for a dull evening

WBA have had a little wobble of late, it might be a good time to play them.

Deal with their strikers and it's a winnable game. QPR should win the midfield battle

Yes, I don't think WBA have that great a midfield, I think if your on it you can beat them in that department, Liverpool did in the CC with less technically gifted players. Good Luck <ok>

Keep the faith, only six games in, decent last half an hour on Monday etc etc etc

Frankly you'd be a fool to miss the chance to spend £25 plus travel and food to watch eleven millionaires struggle to compete in a game of football against eleven other millionaires in one of the direr parts of arguably the direst region this fine country has to offer. If you're lucky it will piss down with rain and your car might get broken into as well.

    I can't wait.

It works out cheaper than Spurs, including a return to Brum on the train ! Bargain;)

Brunt a player I like lot, has torn his hammy.
Though saying that I quite like his replacement Dorrans as well!

A decent manager might be able to engineer us a win.........................................

Yes. At the very least our **** day out will be an affordable one. It would be typical Rangers to pull one out the bag though.

    Prediction: West Brom 3-0 QPR (Long 1, Long 5, Onuoha O.G 20)

Now you're really selling it to me! I always console myself that no away match ever in my lifetime will be as horrendous as Forest away a few years ago when I left at half time (and i'm a 'stay til the end you've paid for a ticket' merchant)

The 5-0? Not Nigel Quashie's finest hour.
