    Written some of the finest, finest popular songs in the english language. Vastly under-appreciated compared to Dylan.

    I've met McCartney a few times and found him great. Others have met him and found him a complete tosser. Point is, we're talking about the talent, not the personality. You coundn't get a bigger ****shaft than Lennon, according to many, even his friends. Should be judged on his songs and other works though, not that he was a vicious, self-loathing head-case for most of his life.
