If the police have already investigated him and the CPS have decided there isn't enough evidence, there's little point in telling the police something they already know.
The title of this thread is Libelous FACT. Jimmy Saville has not been charged, nevermind convicted of anything in the past as the thread header suggests.
I did clearly point out in the post text that it was repeating an allegation from media reports relating to a to be aired documentary.

Not taken long for the jokes to start. Jimmy Saville had to stop going to church as the priests fought over who got to hear his confession.
If x is right and PG did report what he knew to the police then fair enough, but if he didn't then he should have regardless of the CPS decision, because he had no way of knowing whether his evidence would corroborate any other evidence. It's possible that PG's evidence may have swung the CPS to take action against Saville. Also Tickler; If Saville was a *****phile the last thing he would deserve was to "rest in peace". If it were possible he should be made to rest in agony, but as it isn't the least he deserves is to have his reputation destroyed.
Hence the furore over The Damned Utd and the fact that the only survivor regularly referenced being Johnny Giles. I think he actually sued didnt he?

After reading Jimmys defence of Gary Glitter I think thats all the evidence we need and I would question anyones motivations for continuing to defend Jimmy Saville
FOR THAT REASON ALONE SAVILLE IS A C--T IN MY OPINION. though no idea what he did or did not do just can't work out why if so many people knew he never got nailed for it
Innocent till proven guilty and people after money would be why I would question it, also people buying into rumours and not proven fact. The guy can't defend himself and there will be more people crawling out of the woodwork now.
Given me a lot of food for thought this story, got to say. For me Saville meets peoples criteria for somebody to label a weirdo and a ***** because of his image and eccentric behaviour but unlike King and Denning I don't think he is actually guilty of what these people are saying. If somebody had a bullseye put on them as a target for something like this it would be him. I reckon he might have been with underage girls but maybe so did a lot of people in music culture at that time but because they don't fit the bill they don't qualify for payouts in the media. Some people are very gullible.
