Hi Guys, ANOTHER midweek game tonight, this time its Bolton. Do we keep the winning team, or should a refreshed Norris come back in??? Which team would you select? Do you think that there are too many midweek games? Warnock has said that Green will be available after the international break. Does he and Norris deserve a starting stot when fit? The Gaffer has also stated that he is looking to add to the squad this week (before the International break)... No news regarding the takeover yesterday which surprised me a bit, could today be the day?
Morning Elland I'm a great believer in not changing a winning team unless you have too. Given that Norris has just come back from injury cant see any reason at the moment for him not to remain on the bench, plus with the international break it will give him some added time to get his fitness levels back up
Morning I think I'd keep the winning team, though my main concern would be over Browns fitness. If he isn't so fresh either give him the first half / 60 mins and bring Norris in for a more gentle reintroduction, or if Brown is struggling then Norris will start. As for Green and Norris deserving starting spots. Well I hope we will see some good rotation between Brown and Norris / Green for the place alongside Austin. Green could also swap out with Tonge, but if Tonge carries on improving then I can see him getting the start over Green. We can't see what goes on in training though, and I'm basing this on a couple of unspectacular appearances by Green before he got injured, so not much to go on there! I'm a little confused over what to think with regards to when the takeover will happen to be honest. I'm more confident that it will actually happen now, but I don't think it will be quite so immediate. The fact that Colin is looking to strengthen this week makes me think the investment is coming, so money for loan to buy deals is a little more forthcoming, rather than the takeover will happen this week.
Morning all. Rumour Bates was in London yesterday and Leeds today. At this rate he's going to use up his quota of allowable days in the uk soon with a bit of luck. Saw the great clown Kewell on SKY this morning. Describes himself as out of contract and open to any offers. If none appear, he'll consider a career change. What a waste of a career. Great player whose career petered out to nothing. And before anyone even suggests it, I wouldn't have him within a million miles of Leeds. I think we've dangled our fair share of olive branches already with Warnock and Diouf
I thought I'd heard that Kewell signed for someone earlier this summer, must have got it wrong. I was very happy when I (thought I had) heard that though, because I knew it would mean we wouldn't have to suffer being linked with him! I wouldn't have him, I wouldn't even call him a footballing mercenary, he's less loyal than that. Even despite the Turkey stuff, for me he just flits around from club to club as and when he pleases, and any player who does that isn't worthy of a contract if you ask me.
Morning Durham, I know what you're saying about Brown, but he keeps himself in exceptional condition, not an ounce of fat on him. Agree with Tonge, he's doing great, competition for places is a great thing. I really hope the investment is this week, don't know if I could make another week without knowing.
Morning Eire, Maybe Bates was in London looking for a nice Pen? Kewell = scum, and I believe one of the reasons why he does not have a club is other clubs are wary of him due to the way he screwed us over
I know Brown keeps himself in absolute top shape, he impresses me and makes me feel guilty for being in much worse shape despite being much younger! My only concern with his fitness at the minute is simply related to the fact that he hasn't been playing matches and it can take a while for a player to get back into that. But then again, if there was someone to prove that wrong and come straight into a team playing through a congested fixture set, he's our man!
Guys, on a serious note, one of the Hull posters was involved in an accident, and has passed away, he was only 25
Elland I've already passed condolences over there really puts things into perspective so young. Im sure we will all admit the friendly banter between us hull and Leicester is funny n it wouldn't be the same without them
Morning everyone, wish that gangster Bates would piss off so i can join LUTV again, i miss the commentary and watching the match afterwards. I am predicting 2-0 tonight, Austin and Diouf to score. Please someone post a stream for tonight
I will try to buddy, but I need to fix my laptop tonight so I can. If not I have posted a link last week that Josh has or if you go onto the Bristol City match thread (on there board) I posted it there just before kick off Saturday. The stream usually starts just before kick off so be patient!
Agree. Give Norris the last 20 mins if he is ready and the game suits his play and slowly migrate him back in. I think he's started well for us but Brown has done everything that has been asked of him since he has come in & Tonge is getting sharper. Its not a bad headache for Warnock to have and also Byram is making himself a first name down on the team sheet at the moment, regardless of where he plays!
