"I will let you know after 12 games Shiny"

You said you would hold your hands up if he did the job he was paid to do and keep us up last year?

Onefor, I'm not trying to dig you, but it just seems you are waiting for him to fail and he will on occasions thats the measure of football.

He has a massive rebuilding job to do because we were awful last year, it will take time to do. and he hasn't been given an unlimited budget..

The guy knows what he's doing, he obviously thought he picked the right team and if it weren't for the injuries I'm sure we would of got something from the game. I for one am glad we're in mid table with a decent outlook other than near the top of Div1 looking like playoff candidates. He's done well so far and will only improve as the season goes on in my humble opinion.

End of the day we are doing better this season than we were last season.

We are going in to games with the belief that we can win. We are scoring goals in all of our games. Unfortunately mistakes at the back is what is costing us.
Hopefully as soon as DM grows a pair and is willing to drop the captain we will have to wait and see. Cant help but think if fonts wasnt captain would he have been dropped by now? And if it wasnt for him being injury prone we could have had an extra £1m to spend on a new defender and he would be southamptons issue

Yes he has been here a year now, but I want to be fair.
He did have Millens dross to contend with last season and the position we were in which added to the pressure.

So now that he's had pre season, two transfer deadlines and will be 12 games, we/I will be in a better positon to give an opinion. What we are able to say is, there are no excuses now.

    What are your thoughts Shiny??

In a word ( NO ) as normal onefor is waiting for the manager to fail, if you remember his first choice was Zola, not lighting Watford up at the moment, we would have a team of italians, who like us can't defend, so glad we have DM.

Ha Ha really funny...........I am being accused of wanting the manager to fail...........but I havn't said anything yet??? WTF
Sounds like it's what you want me to say...

As for you AD, Watford are owned by Italians and have Italian players, How much that has to do with Zola, I'm not sure.

I did put my hands up Bankys, if you go back you will find that's exactly what I did..
Where does it say I'm looking for him to fail, come on, I could have come on a few times this season so far and blasted him, but until today this is the first time I've been on here for months.
I said I would give it 12 games before judging him and I stand by my comments.

I have to agree with AD, you did bleat on about Zola when he was appointed. Even though at that point we escaped Relegation. You have brought this on yourself Onefor with the comments made last year and close season. That is why everyone is waiting for your view.

We are playing this season with belief, we lost against Blackburn and Leeds at home fighting to the end. The Blackburn game could of gone either way and they got their 2nd goal in injury time because we would not sit back and see the game out. On Saturday Leeds knew we would not give up and played it smart by keeping the ball in that corner.
As already said DM went with a game plan even though most of us did not like could actually see it working if not for the injuries. One to Elliott building up to the game realised could not do 90 minutes and then the 2 LB's.

The away games I can't comment on Peterborough or Forest I was not there. Barnsley we played **** first half for 15 minutes before the break and they could and should of scored, went out the second half flooding the midfield and as been already noticed Elliott and Skuse are Englands Lampard and Gerrald just cannot play together. But still we went for it after they scored and they were reduced to catching us on the break, another day we would of converted one or two of those chances and then a different scenario.

Watford again poor first half second half they sored twice one on the break because we equalised then when we had the 2nd only one team likely to score (against your man Zola).

There you go Onefor after just these few games I gave you my opinion. We are by far better than last year.

    Now your go <ok>

    Not necesarily Angelic

He could make 2 signings in a heartbeat when January comes around

But I think we are forgetting how unlucky Del has been with injuries
3 horror injuries in 2 games - Wenger would go nuts if that were Arsenal

I won't get sucked in ROD, I will leave it after 12 games..as for escaping relegation, yes we did.....JUST!! And as I've said, I did hold my hands up at the time......some have short memories!!
Yes I did want Zola, but just Zola, not the rest of the Italian outfit that's now at Watford.......buy hey he's only been there a few months, so like I got slated last season, give him time before slating him..although have to admit, I don't like the way Watford was taken over and looks like being used.....but that has nothing to do with Zola IMO.

Everyone has there opinion so lets respect it, my opinion is del is doing a great job and I think/know we picked the right man for the job and we will indeed see a better team once that defender or 2 is brought in <ok>

We have a situation at the moment where we have a side in form, but being undermined by the poor form and decision making of one or two individuals. This is also being compounded by horrific bad luck with injuries to players that were in form and doing well.

Its patently obvious that Dell wants to get a CB or two in but is hamstrung in some way from that happening. No one seems to have mentioned that we were actually defending quite solidly on Saturday until Elokobis injury proving that he was right to highlight the problem of left back!

My only gripe with him will be if he continues to play Kilkenny, (who I admit had one of his better games for us on Saturday) but he leaves us with no physical presence in midfield (absolutely essential in the championship!) and he keeps slowing play down as well as jumping out of tackles (I ****in hate that!!)

    Please no....

I mentioned that on another thread, that until we lost both Elkobi and Bryan it was still 0-0

Del did mention that he wants the ball hoofed out when it comes into our box which is what Bikey done nothing spectacular just remove it from danger. The second goal was a typical example if he just whacked the **** out it yes they probably would of come back but then we could of had a bit of composure. The third Carey just backed off allowing him to shoot on his favoured foot.

This is when we miss Cisse, Elliott and Skuse no bite in the midfield. Please Del play Morris not Kilkenny.

Well maybe thats why he took the job, and he's still not doing very well, still i'll give him 12 games, and then see how he's doing. :)
