They may have but the thing is they wouldnt have gloated about it after wards. Probably kept their head down and felt something called shame.

Ghana have themselves to blame, they missed the bloody penalty.

Fair viewpoint but I wonder if Suarez saw his actions as shameful?

To us he's cheated - to him he's saved his nation an early exit.

From interviews I've watched with Suarez he is very much a team player, even to the point of bad sportsmanship. It's just who he is, he wants to win and he is very different on the pitch to off (his own words)

As someone who has spent nearly 30 years predominantly watching football in the bottom 2 divisions we can only dream of getting the quality of inconsistent refereeing that you get in the premier league, the jokers they send to our games would amaze you, I have seen more games ruined by the idiot in black than I care to recall. We all look at our own teams players through slightly rose tinted glasses, and we have all seen divers even down in league 2 we have players who fall over at the slightest touch from a defender, and we all have benefitted from this and been the victim too, I recall only too well seeing one Ashley Young throw himself to the floor when playing for Villa at Priestfield in the FA Cup, in my opinion he’s the worst, but I am biased because we were denied a replay at Villa park by his dive and I have never forgiven him, but I really don’t see it changing any time soon, I love football but there are times when I really wish the game was more honest.

If a player dives, they should be booked, (as a deterant.) If a player is fouled they should get a penalty.

Simple really! Players claiming someone dived when they didnt should be booked the same as divers.

Suarez has certainly improved this aspect of his game which is to be expected with a pass and move philosophy where contact becomes rarer. Hopefully Suarez will continue with these displays and the refs will eventually start to give fair decisions.

Opposition fans are obsessed with Suarez diving as he is such a good player, (same as Drogba.) If he was a bit more average like some other divers no body would really care

    This.

The worst refereeing I've seen has been in League 2 and Non League Football. It was actually a humbling experience for me to see such bad refereeing.

Hes really not that good. One game against Norwich wont change that either. The Suarez of the past 12 months has been average at best with one or 2 decent performances.

Drogba was a vastly superior player.

Refs at the top level are very good. The reason we think they are bad is because we can now analyse every single decision in great detail for days even weeks after they happen. Not so long ago we couldnt and thus we didnt notice as many bad decisions.

A big problem for the referees must be the willingness of most players to cheat, also.

I have never got why Liverpool fans think he is so good. He has flashes of brilliance but most of the time hes just a half decent footballer at a half decent football team.

Talk of him getting 20 goals this season, thats basically doubling what hes got in 2 years of football. I cant see it. He scored over a 1/4 of his goals last season away at Norwich aswell.

Drogba was a fairy at times but he was also an immense player, on of the PL's best and he won games by himself at times. Suarez isnt in that category.

One day Suarez will leave Liverpool and as they did with Torres they will hate him. Guarantee is <ok>

Look at his record for Ajax and Uruguay.

He contributes a lot to open play and always looks like he can create something.

He needs to score more though.

Now he's playing with smarter players (like Sahin, Allen, Sterling, Assaidi) I think he'll score more.

I could name a never ending list of former dutch league players who scored bag fulls of goals in the dutch league and couldnt hit a bar door in the PL.

    Heres 2

    Kuyt
    Kezmen

I dont think Suarez is a RVP or a RVN personally.

He's not that type of striker, no.

And Kuyt did okay, remember he was a winger for the most part.

He's a flat track bully. Fair enough he scored a good free kick v City but he's not half the player Torres was for them no matter how much they deny it.

Suarez is decent and good on his day but overrated IMO. Unbelievable people label him "world class"

It's not his diving that irks me, it's his antics afterwards, all that flailing around and wailing to the gods really puts you off.
Also doesn't help that he's got a face you want to repeatedly hit with a shovel then chuck in the bin, and the face he makes when he doesn't get a decision, you know, the weasely one,
    just exacerbates these emotions
