No loss to the game. Just a pity that we had to go and sign him and it nearly bankcrupt us doing so.
Guess we will not have seen the last of him, Soccer AM seem to love him............... (cheeky chappie persona goes down well with the juvenile humour they trawl out each week).!

There was a thread up about this last week, I remember reading it and not really caring that he'd retiring. It does now mean he can be a full time presenter on Soccer AM, but it's a show made for ****ers by ****ers, so it's not going to be a massive career adjustment for him.

He really did to be fair.

And Jimmy hasnt been interested in football since his comeback from injury at Fulham. Roy Hodgson tried to warn us when he said (and I'm paraphrasing) "In due course Hull will find out the full story on Jimmy for themselves."

I have to say that it's a shame that he lost interest, when he played, the few times he did, he was good & excited everyone. But his attitude was **** & that's unfortunate!

I heard about it and posted on here. He didn't make the decision this morning y'know.

It's a shame it happened like this, and there's certain people who were at our club who contributed to his downfall out of nothing but spite and contempt. It's also a shame our fans can't see that.

    Such is life.

come on TWF, name names to put credence to your what some would consider "sad and bitter ramblings - about Bullard and his time at Hull, and don't just trot out the Adam Pearson and Nick Barmby nonsense we've come to expect from you.

Will be interesting to see where he ends up - can see him ending up joining Merson, Kamara and Thompson et al on Jeff Stelling's saturday show on Sky. As would any club (ignore Blackburn - as they would be stupid enough) even want to consider him as a coaching staff member - judging by his drinking exploits while in Hull (not a good role model for young players which he would be coaching and instilling a good work ethic in)

It's a shame for the bloke that his retirement can't just be about his bad knees.

It's also about his conduct and lifestyle.

If your knees are ****, and you're serious about extending your playing career as long as possible, you don't piss it up and coke it up every chance you get.

    It does not preserve knees.

    Or nostrils.

    A fool unto himself.

Um he was a drunk layabout and not in control of himself. Not sure who you are trying to wind up writing this rubbish.

Twf sort of has a point though, if he'd been managed properly here and didn't have personality clashes with other seniors, it could have been a totally different story both for him and the club. As it is he was left to run riot and went out of control conflicting with other people at the club and then it was never going to work for him. Not saying jimmy isn't responsible for his actions because he was a grown man and more than capable of being responsible for himself but maybe had brown kept a tight leash and guided him with a steady hand he may never have gone off the rails in the first place. Another thing which would have helped him would have been his big pay check via win/assist/goal/appearance clauses rather than a lump sum, money would have got the long haired yeti motivated.

After leeching our club dry and acting like a prick, I won't miss him one bit but I hope he goes on sky as a commentator, because **** or not, he still a right funny bastard and never fails to make me chuckle.

I don't think he was or is manageable by anybody, Woy knew the score, we laughed at him at the time but he was right.
