I finished catching up with Breaking Bad over the weekend, and am now watching the reruns of season 1 of Homeland on Channel 4. What series should I try next? Below is a list of things I've already finished or given up on: The Wire - Good but overrated The Shield - Excellent Prison Break - Started off OK but got a bit silly towards the end West Wing - Gave up on it after the first season. Too American for my taste Sons of Anarchy - Tried the first couple of episodes but didn't like it Game of Thrones - OK Boardwalk Empire - Good Stuff I forgot about: The Killing - Good The Bridge - Good The Sopranos - Very Good Spartacus - Tits Mad Men - too slow
The Wire is excellent The Shield - never seen it Prison Break - never seen it, heard it was utter ****e West Wing - never seen it Sons of Anarchy - I was the same with the first episodes of Season 1, but decided to give it another chance, and it gets very good indeed. Game of Thrones - Great Boardwalk Empire - thought it was great but still have the seconf half of season 2 to catch up on Dexter - only ever seen one full season and it was pretty good
BBC4's series on the art of the Roman Empire was good if you missed it American drama, without exception, can bite my banger.
I watched The Killing with Dutch subtitles when I was living in the Netherlands. That was a headfuck. OP updated.
There's also "The Bridge" if you liked "The Killing" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1733785/ I thought it was better than "The Killing".
I saw The Bridge. The best bits were when the female cop with Aspeger's (or whatever she had) made outrageously inappropriate comments.
