" They gave us four minutes [injury time], that's an insult to the game. It denies you a proper chance to win a football match."

the first 90 minutes didnt give you a proper chance either then ?

    Silly old fool .

a thread that ALL football fans , bar Man Utd fans will think valid.

But if you can justify this statement " It denies you a proper chance to win a football match."

    then please go ahead .<ok>

Manchester City v Queens Park Rangers, May 13th 2012, Etihad Stadium, Manchester.

    Goalscorers - Manchester City - Zabaleta 39′Dzeko 90′Aguero 90′ QPR - Cisse 48′Mackie 66′
    ---------------------------------------

Now while I dont agree with Fergie completely being a United supporter and seeing my team lose the title in added time last season aswell as seeing us win plenty ourselves in added time I think he has a point. Another minute would of made sense but as has been said, we should be winning games in the allotted time anyway.

I used the City example as it removes any chance for someone to mention Fergie time <ok>

Not really, it has very cleverly taken away from our awful first half performance.

Everyons talking about that, not about Spurs winning at OT for the first time in 23 years or United dominating the second half. He doesnt mention the numerous penalties we could of had. Nope instead you are all talking about 1 single quote.

You have all fallen for Fergies genius once again, for shame <ok>

so you point to games won by goals in the 90th minute.

Well you HAD 90 minutes and FOUR more.

How many do you think is enough ?

and for you (or him ) to think no one will remember the shocking first half , insults us all.

    For shame.

He's a ManUre fan, he probably thinks 190 minutes is fair.

90 minutes. Though with stoppages the end result can vary and we have been reliably informed that subs constitute 30 seconds each, goals 30 seconds and then theres any time wasting ( of which there was a fair bit ).

Being honest I expected 5 minutes to be shown.

Being honest, given that you were losing at OT, i was expecting 8 minutes to be shown.

Maybe because your team lacks the desire to win right til the end you are unfamiliar with making every second count. Unfortunately we didnt do this on Saturday but we did so against Saints a few weeks ago and have on a number of occasions won games at the death so for United every single second the ball is in play counts.

When you win games and titles at the death you will understand, until then you probably wont.

There was 97 and a half minutes in that game, time enough. In the second half there were only 4 stoppages for subs(30 seconds are added for each) and there weren't any other significant stoppages so the 4 and a half minutes is plenty. Strange that he's always had such a problem with the system yet never voiced it before, I remember when Everton scored twice in stoppage time against United and only 30 seconds were added on to the original injury time, the whistle happening to go just before Jagielka was going to shoot with Everton chasing a winner.

It wasn't a joke. If you take your united blinkers off, the stats show you're a ****.

    Influence, what influence?

Oh you mean how he basically threatened a ref that his team will start cheating if they dont get decisions. That sort of influence. I know the bastard, the **** does he think he is?

Anyway as pointed out by a few now, hes doing his job, hes taken away the praise from spurs, the criticism of United in the first half and hes done it without mentioning the number of penalties we should of had. The fact Wenger, Rodgers, Rafa, Mancini and almost every manager whos ever managed in the PL has tried to do the same to different end results shows that he knows exactly what hes doing.

My post was tongue in cheek btw bow <ok>

Ive no complaints about the result nor do I have an issue with what Fergie has said. Im just pointing out he does have a point but for the first half performance we deserved nothing., Awful doesnt cut it.

However I find it funny people have walked right into another Fergie trap, I dont expect Arsenal or Liverpool fans to say well done Spurs but to concentrate on what SAF says rather than anything else just strikes me as people being obsessed with things other than football.

You saw United fans congratulate Spurs on your board yesterday, I dont think any of us had a bad word to say, we mentioned penalties and we mentioned added time but we have no complaints about the result. I hope it 'spurs' us on from now on if anything.
