Ok why is homosexuality wrong, if two consenting adults of the same sex choose to love each other or even just screw each others brains out, then Good for them, why is it wrong. What about masturbation and contraception. They're also against the traditional concept of reproduction. Do you have a problem with them? You keep ranting at other people and avoiding my very simple points that show the problem is with you and not gays. You're embarrassing yourself I'm afraid.

Where am I ranting? I have asked a question that no one has answered. Presumably it is easier to attack my stance that to defend yours.
I think sheffordqpr means that homosexuality is a pervision in the sense that as a genetic misfunction, it goes against the evolutionary principle. The use of a charged word like 'perversion' perhaps wasn't the best idea, however.
OK, I'll make this REALLY simple for you. Homosexuality is not part of evolution but the love between two people and the pleasure that they share is as natural as anything. Other sexual perversions are oral sex, masturbation, contraception, orgies and pretty much anything else. Is there anything wrong with each of these? Other things that we choose to do that nature says we shouldn't include flying and speaking to people that aren't within earshot (as we're trying to do now). Do you have a problem with planes? The problem is still not homosexuality but the fact that you are disgusted by it (ie a homophobe). That's your problem and not ours so stop spouting crap against something that most people, the law and this board's rules can accept but you can't.
It's not too hard a point to grasp really. I imagine people thought you were coming from a bigoted/religious stand-point and just took it the wrong way.
Okay no-one is going join in on my crusade to discuss the latest revelations on Jimmy Saville. I will join in with you... What is wrong with homosexuality......NOTHING It is not something I practice/have any interest in myself....but if it is between two consenting adults in their own privacy there is nothing wrong with it at all (we should use same rules as for heterosexual sex). Animals DO practice homosexuality all the time, some times to alleviate sexual fustration, sometimes through accident, sometimes through sexual dominance....I am not usuing the word love here, as I believe "love" as we mean it is restricted to upper primates...but lust and attraction (chemical) run through the whole animal kingdom. To be honest, I believe the whole love/lust sceanario is entirely run by chemical attraction (pheromones) anyhow and you therefore cannot help yourself (it is in your genes). I am not a Christain and so I do not "believe" that the Bible is the written law of God, but I am told by friends who are that even the apparent condemenation of heterosexuals in the Bible is quite a late edit.... A little like the Fundamentalists at the moment....and during the times of Jesus, heterosexuality was not frowned on at all. Homosexuality was what you did for fun/boredom, Heterosexuality was for reproduction.....and here we get to the fact as to why heterosexuality DID NOT DIE OUT...Back to the Darwin thread If you have sex every time you wanted to with a woman....you would have enough children...to support that it would result in you and your family/clan dying through starvation. It is; every human (or indeed animal) characteristic you see today is a product of evolution - even love. It's a hard one to figure, but I've read and watched several things about how the 'gay' gene has survived - through of course random defect, through gay people simply not realising they're gay or realising but keeping a female partner for social/hierarchial reasons and also because, in primitive society, 'gay' males were not seen as a threat to the other male's partners. Their survival and role in society (often helping the women in a way which the other males did not trust each other to do) allowed the gene to survive - I'm not certain on the particulars, but it's there if you look it up. I think a lot of the Bible is 'edit' but that's another argument haha. Pretty much agree with what you say. It's two different things to recognise the genetic side of homosexuality and to have an opinion on homosexuals. For instance I have absolutely no issue with them (unless they're the type that tries continually to kiss you when they're drunk, which has happened to me before - frankly it's disturbing! ).
