Interesting bottom 4 in Prem - Norwich, QPR, Reading and Saints

    No surprise there then

Stated well before the season started that I felt Norwich would really struggle this season and that the players they have are not premiership class, hence the second season issue would see them fall. I'm pleased that this appears to be the case and I'm more than positive they will be relegated this season.

No need to answer the dumbs from Noriwch. They will repeat like a parrot that they are in the PL and we are not. But even their Saint Lambert left them to go to Villa. Best be having you<laugh><laugh><laugh>

Let's not forget that we've beaten more premier league teams than they have this season - and they've had 6 opportunities to our 1 !!

If we do cross path's with Norwich, can u imagine what Austin the Beast will do, he will have a field day, Howson will go missing (doesn't like a strong challenge) Snotgrass will just keep out of the way, and Johnson is still overweight and wont get near him due to not having a football brain hahaha

They'd beat us because they're better than us.

Essex, leave him to view bud, but Simon pray tell me who would you rather have...... Snotgrass or the Beast roaming midfield, i would even choose Diouf before him now seeing what i have seen......thoughts!

I'd take Howson back. I'd keep Diouf over Snoddy but not over Gradel <ok>

Not ahead of Austin <ok> but I'd still take Howson back in the squad.

"Snotgrass or the Beast roaming midfield"

What a stupid question considering Snodgrass is a winger. As a unit and front 4, Snodgrass, Howson, Gradel and Becchio were immense and all contributed plenty of goals and assists. Imagine those individuals with Clayton and Austin taking Kilkenny and Johnson's place, would be great. As for Diouf he would be good competition for places on the wing, look at Reading last season with Kebe, McAnuff and Robson-Kanu competing for spaces on the wing, unfortunately Ken has other ideas about the concept of a squad, let alone keeping the class individuals when the club had momentum.

LDS.....who plays with a front 4? if they did they had better have 2 bionic midfielders mate! Snodgrass used to break out of midfield when attacking, and was supposed to tuck back into left/right handside of MF when defending....maybe thats why we were weak as Snodgrass was not too good at tracking back, and always looked unfit....IMO

"who plays with a front 4?"

Well the formation was 4231, with the four that i mentioned very advanced, although Howson was/is an intelligent footballer and dropped deeper to help out the middle 2 of Johnson and Kilkenny.

Basically the point i'm trying to make is that if we had those individuals back, i would revert back to the formation that worked so well in 2010/11, although it would certainly create a selection headache with McCormack back fit. Austin is a great player and can perform a variety of roles and add a lot to the team. Diouf has been a fantastic replacement for Snoddy, given who runs the club and has scored goals like yesterday, delivered quality set pieces and looked composed on the ball. However if it was a straight choice between which footballer you would take on at the club on a 2 year contract, it would be Snoddy everytime.

If Diouf plays like this all season I'd have to say I'd take him ahead of Snoddy. Snoddy was quality but half the time (especially if we weren't playing well) he just looked like he couldn't be ****ed. Doubt we'll see that with Diouf.

Im with the same opinion as you Kiwi, Diouf has got a football brain, he outsmarted and played Fellani of Everton the other night, so did Austin, as Rudolph left the field he approached Moyes and gave him Fellani from out of his pocket, and said i think he belongs to you.....lol, but some people see things differently and can have there opinion.

Purely out of interest, how/when did you come to the conclusion he couldn't be bothered half the time? Was this based on his whole Leeds career or just last season?
