I noticed on another thread, that the old guys seem to think that they grew cooler as they aged, but is it so? I'll put up my hand and confess to being of the codger age, so I'm a bit biased. But ****, I really am cool. I find that I have the gift of the gab which women love. I seem to be able to make them like me, which is a real surprise. maybe it's just that the old sheilas are a bit more desperate, and cling to any kind word, but I prefer to think not. So are we all cooler than we used to be??
You know you're getting cooler when your bawhair starts turning grey. It adds a touch of distinction and class, which is much appreciated by burds
I'm pretty cool for a 50 year old I think, the secret is to avoid dressing like a ****ing 25 year old. ie No White trainers or "Superdry" T shirts.
Both my kids are going to be kicked out to University by the time I hit 40, which is also typically the wealthiest period in a person's life. I'm going to tour the world going nuts while oozing coolness
hey , look at my last post number "1888" maybe I should keep it like that and not post any......aw , Ive ****ed it up already ; but I MAINTAINED MY COOL.
It's funny, when you're young, older people are NOT cool in the slightest, but people your own age are. As you grow older, this doesn't change, you are still as cool as you ever were, it's just not many people think you are anymore. Nobody gets cooler with age, but not many people get any less cool either.
Interesting thinking Luke. I suppose we all want to hang onto out self esteem, but it really does appear to me that we do get cooler as we age. A lot of the bluster leaves us, allowing a more smooth personality to emerge. It's like the rough edges are knocked off us. I swear, I've never been so popular with women in my life. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happily married (30 plus years) and have NEVER strayed. But women of my own age, and as much as 20 years younger seem to like me. I treat them well, and they respond in kind. That didn't happen anywhere as much when I was a young buck.
I suppose that's a fair point, a lot of the childish bravado does disappear with age and maturity. As for the women, you sure you're not just fabulously wealthy in comparison to most other people around your area?
