Only player to come out of the game with some credit is Ki. Thought the lad had a decent game. Our passing was piss poor and no goals now in three games, need t sort it out for next week.
Agree about DG, time to try something different. Next match against Reading is one we should be definately targetting a win.
Who is to blame today...Tate or Monk....... ...We are definitely missing Brendan i don't care what you say...the commentator made me laugh when he said that we have gone from New Barca to new Barnet under Laudrup. I thought how apt ....3 losses on the bounce with not a single goal scored and from the top team in goals scored to just +1 in a short space of time.......Lets hear the excuses........Tate,monk or laudrups fault...
Everybody's fault!!! Their all paid handsomely to perform but their not doing it. Next two games are ones we should win and to do this we need to buck up our ideas and start performing otherwise it will be a long hard season.
excuse the pun but the Buck stops with laudrup ...He is even made leon and ash and rangal look ordinary players.....you cant blame the players when they are playing to laudrups orders. Its no coincidence that we do not recognize the way we are playing now to the way we kept the ball last season....I said the jury is out about laudrup and the more games we play the more i can see he is not the manager for us,,we are going backwards fast....
No pffft about it. fans are already calling for his head and if he dont get back to the football we are known for and play the best quickly then he should go before he drags us down and it will be to late.
Then they are not real fans! Our manager has my full support. He's had 6 premier league games, the hardest league in the world, give the guy a chance. For what it's worth, I like what he's doing with the more attacking approach.
I didn't hear anyone call for his head today. What I saw was him being applauded by the fans as he was walking towards the tunnel at the end of the game and ML applauded the fans back, I was there !! My view is my Avatar
Stoke fan... our board is quiet tonight fella's. Thought you played well 2nd half we sat back as if the game was won already. From a neutrals point of view. I think your midfield is fine, your approach play is O.K. Your biggest problem is in defence. Had we played Etherington from the start I think we would have caused you more problems than we did today. Sort your defence out and you will be fine. The only thing I didn't like was the blatant dive it was never a penalty and HOW do you mark Peter Crouch? I honestly don't know. Just pleased we have him here. You will be fine this season don't PANICK! Laudrup is a very good Manager. I didn't think you we're that bad today we defended well when we had too and your lads didn't. That was the only difference. Good luck for the season too!
We are only 6 games in and its way too early to call for ML's head....who would you have hired Dai? Honestly, none of the other names touted inspired me much! At least ML has recognized that we need a plan B and early signs were great. I agree that the last few weeks have been iffy to say the least, but injuries, sickness, suspensions have not helped. The stats recently published in walesonline even suggest we are better than last year in many areas, so it's not all doom and gloom....although I have wondered if the stat man has even been at our games recently As with any changes made in life, sport, or work, things often get worse before they get better. I think we've seen what the good will look like, it's just that we're going through a patch of the bad....which hopefully will not last much longer.
Potter, well done on your win. It was a blatant dive, but the lad is young and trying hard to impress. We will forgive him that. Crouch, well its easy. Chop the ****ers legs off!!!!
No complaints with the result and I can't argue with Potters assessment, well done on a deserved win. I was sat in row 29 and I swear that Crouch was still higher up than me.
Let`s get a bit of perspective, not many of us were expecting anything from this game. Last season we lost away to QPR 3 - 0, Lost away to stoke 2 - 0, Beat Villa 2 - 0 At home we Drew with Sunderland 0 - 0, Lost to Everton 2 -0, we did`nt play West Ham, but take your pick from Wolves 4 - 4, Bolton 3 -1 or Blackburn 3 -0. This season away we`ve beaten QPR, Lost to Villa & Stoke - same number of points as last season. At home we`ve drawn with Sunderland, lost to Everton & beaten West Ham. So we`ve more or less had the same number of points from the same teams. Having said that I thought we`d have beaten Villa & lost to QPR, so it would have been a carbon copy of last year. So long as we can average a smidgen over a point a game, or to put it another way, 11 or 12 points every 10 games, we should be okay. It`s probably a bit early in the season to say this, but Reading is looking like a six pointer. We must aim to get at least 4 points from these next 2 home games, anything less will be a failure in my view? The downside is that Reading will be looking for their first win "sigh". Villa & Stoke had`nt won for yonks before they met us. Yes, we are a bit of a mess at the moment, but I`m hoping beyond hope that that will improve come the next game. It`s far too early to pass the buck (that`s just for you Dai), let`s see where we are after 10 games is it. We could do with Sousa back here as defensive coach, just a thought!!!! Last season: Rodgers 0 away.........V.............3 Dalglish away............... 2 less goals last season, but the same 3 points. You don`t say how much of that "flair and heart" was in our own half, doing no damage at all. If you are that much of a Rodgers fan, feck off to their board where you can cream yourself to your heart`s content.
Swanee, I know where your coming from. I think we need maximum points no less than 4 from the next two games as these are the teams that will be in then relegation mix come May. So in ernest yes these are both potential 6 pointers.
