    Has anybody ever seen a contract this long?

    Apart from SAF's never ending one, I think the longest I've ever seen is five years.

    I didn't think they could go over 5 years. Think of the compo when he gets sacked by latest next season. He must have some proper dirt on Ashley to get 8 years.
    Ashley could commit murder go to nick and still be out in time to see that pardews won f all.

    Its not the length of the contract that is the issue if the termination clause allows him to be axed for non performance, misdemeanor or having the initials AP on the front of his trakkie. (his un used first names should be Charles Richard). I doubt that even Ashley is that stupid not to have a get out clause for when AP gets up to his usual performance.
