  1. Well sorry for trying to inject some hope in this situation...

We all knew he was going in the summer anyway deep down, so why the shock?
It stings, but he obviously no longer feels at home here and has had his head turned (probably by some in house politics we don't know about on top of an agent probably telling him he could double his wage, win some silverware and a national team place that has thus far eluded him whilst here).
He's not a local lad, unlike others and has no affiliation with the area except the time he has spent here.
I mean for all we know if Liverpool is the destination, they could have approached us in January around the same time as Carroll and it's been agreed since then or Ashley could have offered him a derisory new contract that he'd knew he'd reject in order to sell him on.

None of us know the full situation, but we just have to hope a replacement is lined up who will be just as good as if not better.
Tbh I fully trust Graham Carr in finding a new left back to fill his boots in the summer <ok>.
That's even if he moves on (the signs are certainly in place, but it could be merely coincidence in the end).
I notice Cwarr is saying on twitter we've currently got people in France negotiating deals for 3 different players in France ATM.

Buy them low, build them up, sell them high.

Ashley will do ok out of this.

This doesnt confirm anything yet, I mean, lets say he had agreed a new contract with us, he'd want to own a house here wouldnt he?

I've thought it was nailed on since I saw the TV interview tbh...

I'd love to be proved wrong, I'd love him to stay, but if he's not 100% behind the cause then he's better off playing abroad...Unfortunately, I think the bin dipper will have him, after all ****oli has no imagination!

I agree that this means nothing.

If it means he's leaving, why do it now when there's 4 games left, as well as however long it takes over the summer for whatever deal to go through?

If he's buying a house with a view to signing a long-term deal here, why do it before you've put pen to paper and it's confirmed?

For those of you that are saying this source isn't reliable or is either untrue. The cause for Enrique to leave is surely your fault. Rating players highly within a season or two can result in this sort of situation. Enrique was terrible against Blackpool, showed no effort or interest whatsoever. However, there will be a youngster filling in for him and who knows he may be able to shine at St James' Park.

So we should have ignored him and said he was average? It's not our fault, and if he wants to go to Liverpool of all places to further his career then he can **** off right now.

Serving notice to a landlord has to be at least 1 month before moving out but may be longer depending on how long the tenancy has been. If he's looking to move in June/July it's about right that he'd have to inform the landlord now :(

yes it might say that but legally it's 2mths if your landlord tried to throw you out with a months noticed he can't he has to legally give you 2 mnths notice and vice versa (own property and tried to get rid of a **** tenant and was told this when i tried to get rid of the ****er quick) if 1 mth notice is fine by him and you don't mind it then fine but if he tried to get rid of you he can't without legally giving 2 mnths notice it's a dodgey thing as we all operate differently until it goes wrong and then it's a legal minefield

So basically he's either confirmed his future at newcastle (you wouldn't buy a house for 2 months or whatever) or he knows he's leaving...
    Hope he goes abroad
