Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said the four minutes of injury time added to his team's defeat by Tottenham was an "insult".

Clint Dempsey scored the winner as Spurs won 3-2 to win at Old Trafford for the first time in 23 years.

Ferguson said: "It was disappointing because the record has been fantastic.

"They gave us four minutes [injury time], that's an insult to the game. It denies you a proper chance to win a football match."

Biggest laugh I have had... well, since I heard Hull were down 0-2 at home to Peterborough :)

Yes, that amused me too. But to hear his complaints that Fergie time was limited to a mere 4 minutes. Priceless.

I hope he didn't expect anything added on to the 4 minutes within stoppage time as remember his wise son Darren's famous quote: 4 minutes is 4 minutes!

Chelsea looked a decent team today against Arsenal and with Man City still to hit their top form and Liverpool to click in under Rodgers, I doubt Man Utd will be in the top three this season.

Sadly the last time they lost 2 games at home within the first six games, they went on to win the league. However, this time the other teams have much better players and have managers who demand success.

They've only lost one game at home within the first 6 league games this season so we can ignore that statistic.

Sorry I meant lost 2 games within the first six games of a season, home and away. They also lost to Everton a few weeks ago.

That would be brilliant. It could be the start of the fall of the house of cards - just like us. I can't imagine another club I'd like it to happen to, other than them. I can only dream (and I do!!).

Thats why 1973/74 was my favorite season

now, who won the league that year, remind me?

as this seems to be a Scots only thread I have started, I would also mention the World Cup that year told us Leeds had the best midfield player in the world. I may have been a bit biased, but the man was remarkable in every game

He said similar about our 0-1 upset at the Toilet. Only for a Premier League ref to calculate the time in the papers the next day and conclude that too much time had actually been awarded! <laugh>

Him and his wife-twatting son need to learn to shut their traps where refs and injury time are concerned. There's no bigger hypocrites - even Warnock backs his claims up with his reffing qualification and admits when he's been fortunate.

Chelsea look quality this year. When Oscar, Mata and Hazard become more familiar with each other's games they'll be difficult to beat. But Liverpool to finish in the top 4? Are you serious? <laugh>

Find the hysterical overplaying of the Direby v Florists game typical of Sky. ****e game between two ****e teams intent on kicking lumps out of each other. Built up to be world war 3. Don Goodman is a thick ****!
