Very poor defending/individual mistakes gifted them each goal. The system wasn't exploited, but they had the bus truly parked and we never really looked like doing much. Proschwitz and McLean should have been on very early with Aluko moving out wide left and Elmore wide right IMO, as the only space we could create anything from was out wide, and they are the only two who can really challenge for a cross and get their noggin on it. Freak result really, normally I guess we'd have won 1-0 but we just kept missing tackles when they countered and let Sinclair walk into 1 on 1 positions 3 times and he took every chance. Also weren't helped by their horrendous gamesmanship, they just took our legs whenever we managed to break free. I counted 3 definite book able offences from Boyd alone but the ref was a total flange. Just a very poor performance overall we couldn't break down their 8 man defence which was trying its best to return the favours and gift us some goals back. Clueless sums it up nicely.
I'm not convinced that the system hasn't been found out. Boyd playing in the hole for them set up their first two (admittedly error assisted) goals, and no-one seemed to get tight on him. I thought we lacked urgency all over the pitch today and we weren't "at it" from the start. Elmo got drawn in too easily in the first half, while in the second he couldn't get any of his countless crosses past the first defender. Having said that, Elmo wasn't the only one who was off colour today as Quinn, Koren, Bruce and even Chester were all below par today. In the long run, the worst out come of today could be an injury to Chester - don't know what the problem is, but he had to come off second half. I didn't think Proschwitz did anything worthy of note and I would have tried Mclean instead of him. Couldn't do any worse, but I don't think Bruce rates him. Changes needed for Tuesday I think - possibly to the formation as well as the personnel

Typical City. We can't beat the side at the bottom of the table. I have seen it happen, year in - year out .History should have told me, but I went expecting a win...Not an easy win but a win. City were true to form. If we can't beat rubbish like Peterboro, who will go down for sure, we can kiss all talk of promotion and play offs goodbye.
We need to do the same really. Sinclair should have been tackled/brought down for the first two goals by hook or by crook....take a yellow and move on. We're just not dirty/streetwise though. Need to get tougher in the tackle.
Yep....I think he's got something to offer/improve our defense. But who drops out, especially against Blackpool? Oli? Tough call...we need a tackler and a leader/talker in the middle of the park though.
McKenna is definitely a MUST for us he breaks play, is tidy with the ball, and isn't afraid to get a yellow if it means they won't get a goal.
Probably cos he's ****e. Neither a tackler or a talker. The only positive i see out of today is Bruce was talking about a CM before the game it strengthens his hand even more now. Some fuker needed to kick Boyd up in the air regularly, no one did. While he actually roughed up Koren a few times and hes a fop.
It really wasn't that bad at all. We had 57% possession, 22(15) shots (on target) to 9(5), 13 corners to 3, and 3 fouls to 15. That tells you all you need to know, we were mugged. It happens. Doesn't mean we were ****. Some fans' reactions to that game were embarrassing. Until they scored it was all positive, then as soon as they got a freak goal everyone around me was going on about us needing a whole new team and how rubbish we were playing. Bollocks. These people obviously can't look past the scoreline and judge the game for themselves. We completely outplayed them and we lost, if we play like that every week we'll be laughing and we probably won't lose again. We're all pissed off yes, but we don't have to find a target to vent our frustration at if there isn't one.
We lost. It happens.. Big deal. It's not the end of the season .. Some seem to take it worse then others ... Roll on Tuesday ... Steve Bruce's Black and Amber Army
I ****ing knew we'd lose today, typical city really. Peterborough was due a win, can't beat them all, still only 3 points behind. Onwards and upwards UTT
Huddersfield and Brighton slipped up as did Bolton.. Spurs won at old Trafford for the first time in years . It's just the nature of football. The top 10 are separated by 3 points. Fear not we WILL finish in the top 6..
