Haven't played my 01/02 game in a while, after reading this I'll have to give it a go tonight! If my memory is correct I'm in division 1 (championship) with Accrington Stanley! What's the latest version that would work on a fairly average netbook do you think?
probably FM2008 (before the 3D match engine) I found out a way of installing CM on my work PC (which doesn't allow the installation of programs) - guess whats going on my work PC tomorrow
ive been on fm now since 1pm i cant bring myself to come off, especially because my team is performing amazingly at the minute i have the "one more game" syndrome
LOL and then when you do finally lose in the league you have cup fixtures and you can't save an exit just before cup fixtures.... which you then win putting you back on a streak and you can't save and exit when you're on a streak as when you log in next your streak will be gone... I love CM/FM I started my Euro Super League game last night (I did the pre season tour of Sweden followed by a 2-1 win against Monaco)... the database is the 07/08 season making transfers difficult as the Liverpool team I have is almost perfect (esp. for the formation I play) GK: Reina DML: Riise CB: Hyypia CB: Carra DMR: Finnan DMC: Mascha MC: Gerrard MC: Alonso MC: Lucas AMC: Kuyt CF: Torres Bench: Carson Aurelio Pennant Crouch Momo Sissoko
I managed that as well - I installed it onto a writable DVD and just ran it from the laptop DVD drive. T'was a wee bit laggy, but I was at work so I didn't care
Thats similar to what i'm going to do but on to a USB pen drive and then transfer the files across the the C:/ drive of my work PC (obviously these files will be well hidden). I'll then open up CM, go in to options and then play it in windows mode with a hidden task bar in case my boss blind sides me
What is he lastest/best one currently out? Football manager 2011? I have 2010, but I always turn the features off so its just commentary, or just goals. Not keen on the new features that much. Press interviews are all the same as well. Any thoughts? Will be interesting to see how the new Fifa/ Champ rates us. We were diabolically the first half of the season, whilst things are positive now.
I reckon 2012 will have us in good stead as it will have FSG as owners and Kenny as manager. I expect Lucas, Spearing, Kuyt & Kelly to be immense I doubt i'll buy it in all honesty. I'm absolutley obsessed with 01/02 and the fact that there is still an active community out there for the game with regular updates (with the right update it is always more up to date then the latest games). Before I formatted my hard drive, my CM 01/02 database was 100% accurate as of 02/02/2011
i've got FM2011 with and without the January transfer patch and the difference is big. Before we had no money to spend (maybe ã2mil with budget adjustment) and Torres is obviously good but quite realistically continually gets injured. Afterwards we obviously have Suarez and Carroll (who are both very good but Suarez might get bumped up a little by the next one) but also have a decent budget of ã20-30mil. I haven't played past the first month or two but signed Coentrao and Hazard if anyone is interested! Could be fun next year if we spend a good amount in the summer cause we could have ã50mil worth of new players and a bit of money to spend. No reason a decent player couldn't win the league in their first season.
Bozz where do you get your updates from? I've always said 01/02 was the best version i ever played, and the game has never reached that level of addiction for me (I say that i have had a network game with over a month's game time), so if that version has the recent players i'd consider a trip down memory lane
Good question Nips. Bozz you got a link to the original game? I'v tried downloading it before but it never, ever works. Id love the old format with current players.
http://hotfile.com/dl/17118634/513af0b/cm0102.zip.html <-- for the game it will be in .iso format You can mount the disk image to a blank disk and install it in the traditional manner or you can use Magicdisk to open the iso file, extract all of the files in to a folder Download the latest patch - http://champman0102.co.uk/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=17 install the latest no disk crack (otherwise it will ask for a disk, which you don't have as you split the ISO file instead of mounting it to a disk) - www.gamecopyworld.com Install the latest database file - http://champman0102.co.uk/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=228 and voila (all this sounds a lot more complicated then it actually is
cheers mate appreciated. Incidentally in my Leicester game its November 2016, Adrien boothroyd has just been sacked as Liverpool manager, and who else but Villas-Boas has declared his interest in the job!
yeah, inside the zip file will be a .iso (disk image) file another location (if you have problems with the location I provided earlier) is http://champman0102.co.uk/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=1
You just to need to mount the .iso file. (tricking your computer into thinking the disc is in) i think the one i used is called ultraiso but there are loads of them. Very straight forward stuff, when you install the software just right-click the file and you'll have option to "mount disc" or something similar.
