I was going to say that but I couldn't remember how to spell it ;)

But Bruce/Cobwebs was one implacable, stubborn tin-foil conspiracy nut, telling me I wasn't a Lewis fan 'cos I didn't agree with him...

Must admit I was a bit of an Alonso fan and thought he'd be a WDC before he moved to Renault, but his off-track machinations put me off him, just started to like him again but his hypocritical whining put me off again. Great driver, don't think I like him as a person though.

tsheporam, yeah, what a cock, then again there were so many hamelot cocks on 606

This, I don't think there are Hamelots in this forum, I was the last fingerfucker in this group but I've reeled in for the forums sanity of my ranting.

The forums good and I hope it stays this way as I sure as hell have no interest in the autosport, planetf1, BBC, f1fanatic, Skysports F1 and Crash chatrooms, nothing but fanboys and pussies in there spouting **** 100 times worse than me, miggins, Forza and Kyle could go about against any driver on track.

Reckon a lot of "fans" - the ones who think it's a version of the beautiful game on wheels - are now going to have to chose between their player and their team.

Interesting comment from Whitmarsh suggesting that their sponsors were not happy with the all-British driver line-up, so perhaps a Spanish bank had a role to play. Opens up a whole new avenue of conspiracy theories. :emoticon-0138-think

Yeah this forum is a safe haven compared to planetf1, i browsed over their forum not long ago and it was like world war two in there. Filled with deliberately provocative threads and so called 'fans' who all presumably type while confined to their basement and in a straight jacket

It's always driver first, team second for me.. but since I like many of the teams, that's okay. :)

yeah, probably. Kobay is my favourite, I like his smiling attitude and his aggressive racing style, but I doubt he'll get his chance in a team with the same philosophy, if he even gets signed for next year (a travesty if he doesn't. The Sauber really doesn't suit him as much as Perez, who seems to be more lucky than good IMO, damaged his car in Malaysia making him take an early pit-stop and then went off track quite badly twice, which could easily have ended his race on both occasions. Kobayashi seems to have the opposite, Sauber have screwed him a few times on strategy, most notably in Canada last year, and his last 2 outings at Spa have been totally ruined by other people. Still if it's a choice between talent and luck I'll take luck everytime.

Don't get with the Lewis and Jacques comparison all over the world. Jacques was happy with 1xWDC and he clearly jumped for the money and didn't think about his career. Lewis isn't happy with just 1xWDC and jumped to Mercedes because it's a works team and 2014 is coming up, so he is actually thinking about maximising his career.

Lewis will win more titles before he retires, it would be a tall order to stop him from doing that with roughly the 10 years of his career he has left.

I think it's alright that the F1 board is quite small.

A wise Morgan Freeman once said: "Hope? Let me tell you something, my friend. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane. It's got no use on the inside. You'd better get used to that idea."

I disagree with this post, I think we're pretty friendly towards newcomers, Hamilton fans don't get tarred with the 'Hamelot' brush unless they're obsessively pro Hamilton to the point of believing Hamilton is F1 and everyone else is just there to make up the numbers, I think a lot of the anti-Hamilton feeling expressed by some people is caused by this zealotism. I think F1 would be poorer with out him, same as I think it would be poorer without Vettel or Alonso. think of the 80's and 90's and how much poorer it would've been without Senna, Prost or Mansell, it's these battles of supremacy that make the sport for me, I never liked Mansell, but I'm glad he was out there racing. As much as people need someone to like sometimes they also need someone to dislike. (Boo, Schumacher, boo), it's when it goes over the top either way that problems arise.

    better than Morethan Freeman :D

Indeed, this is why people will miss Michael Schumacher. He had great success and he became a big rival to most other followers, hopefully Perez can fill that void and give us another WDC to cheer/boo at.

I want this golden generation to last for longer and Schumacher has to stay to achieve this.
