Yeah, if we want to give the ball away unneccessarily to olympiakos. He was dreadful today.

We could have signed Llorente? Really? Yeah..... I don't think so. Maybe if we put a swap deal for RvP, but otherwise I couldn't have seen that chance happening. And you are 100% sure he'd have scored it?

That game was exactly why we wanted wenger to buy a proper back up for Diaby

Maybe, but the ref certainly had a big influence. In the first 20 mins every time we made a tackle he gave a foul and when it was us tackled he waved play on whether it was a foul or not. After that our players knew they had to be careful with EVERY tackle and that makes a huge difference in the game. Even ion the highlights on now you caqn see that. Chelsea on the other hand were able to tackle with relative freedom so where always favourites in those circumstances.

Because Olympiakos' midfield is as good as Chelsea's.

Walcott kept comming inside and chelsea just doubled up on him, which meant jenkinson had no option out side and walcott couldn't find space in the middle - they dealt with him really well.

He should have changed how he was playing and given an option out side, btu when he came on he obviously had a goal in mind and wanted to be going as central as possible.

So imo it was a tactical error on his behalf due to being pumped up and wanting to change the game which has caused his performance.

Ramsey plays like a man who is mentally ill.
Koscielny, as good as he is on his day (and as good as this board want to think he is), is a liability. Fact.
Our full backs are looking very good.

Hmm I seem to have a different opinion on Oxo's performance. He was **** both wide and centrally after Ramsey came off. Was very dissapointed with him.

Walcott as I've said ALWAYS (even after he scored 2 goals) is an absolute waste of a player spot against teams that defend well, or aren't in panic mode. END OF.

Koscielny is nit a liability. I mean he returned against the Legue Champions and European Champions, so I'm not going to be too harsh on him.

Probably Coq and instead of bringing Theo on I'd have brought Oxo.

Mannone - 5/10 - Didn't look convincing or confident in dealing with anything. It's very harsh to blame him for the second goal though. If a defender is charging across the path of the ball it's going to put you off.
Jenkinson - 8/10 - Rarely did anything wrong. Provided width and pace, and even demonstrated sublime control and skill. I knew he was good but these last few weeks have shocked even me.
Gibbs - 8/10 - As above for Jenkinson. Created a lot, and exceptional all round. Made me laugh when he owned Torres.
Koscielny - 4/10 - Diabolical. Made a couple of good interceptions, but was probably at fault for both goals. He wasn't even looking at the ball for the first goal, and may have tapped it into his own net for the second. Reminded me of the Carling Cup final against Birmingham; that wasn't the goalies fault either.
Vermaelen - 5/10 - Under-performed. Clattered people. He should take lessons from Arteta on how to win the ball.
Ramsey - 6/10 - Was decent in the first half and linked up our play well. He was taken off by Wenger, and I thought rightly so (he was misplacing most passes) but our subsequent performance was horrible. Perhaps we missed him?
Gervinho - 7/10 - Good finish and posed a threat throughout the game. Lacked a bit of vision for spotting a pass at times, and often dawdled on the ball as a result.
Oxo - 6/10 - Inconsistent, but had bright sparks. Good through ball for Giroud at the end, but overall looked a bit out of his depth.
Cazorla 6/10 - Had plenty of shots but blazed them all over. I forgave this in the previous matches, but it's looking like a problem for him now.
Walcott 5/10 - Didn't get a lot of time, but offered nothing. Also seemed to lack some effort. Maybe he is demoralised by not getting games? Especially after the skill he showed against Coventry.
Podolski 6/10 - Wasn't involved enough, but did reasonably well when he had the ball.
Giroud 6/10 - Showed real desire when coming on. His chance was more difficult than it looked. Needs to do better though.

Kos is not the problem. A partnership of Kos and TV is.

Ive said it before and will say it again 0 they do not play well together. Per is our moist important defender as both can play very well when partnered with him, but one of them always has a shocker when TV and Kos play.

Agreed. Kos and Verm are too similar. It should always be Per + Kos/TV

Coq, without a doubt. We didn't sign anyone to backup Diaby because we were supposed to be giving Coq a bigger role. That doesn't seem to have happened.

That's more positive speak for Arsenal. They're discrediting Chelsea efforts to score their goal (saying it's merely come about because of poor marking) whilst putting Arsenal's one down to being pure class and unstoppable.

Oh, and despite the loss, props to Gibbs (who I've been critical of in the past) and Jenkinson. Absolutely flawless game from them, and credit as well to Arteta who pushed through when all the rest tired.

The foul by Vermaelen was a moment of madness IMO, Torres wasn't going to do much with that chance. After that the cross by Mata was really smart, any touch would have deflected on goal and wrong-foot Mannone. Kos was more at fault for the first goal than the second. IMO any touch there would have deflected on goal.

I only caught the second half of the game, so for me the best players of the half for us were Gibbs, Jenkinson, Giroud and Arteta. With Cazorla, Gerv and Podolski putting in good moments.

Will the pundits say City will struggle for Top 4 now that they are losing?
