It's a huge game today, with Chelsea and Arsenal following - points are going to be difficult to come by.

Once you slip into that relegation zone, it takes an awful lot to get back out of it. The desire seems to be there, we just seem to lack cutting edge and can't put the ball in the net.

Short, sweet and straight to the point. Technically, we can win or lose or draw so I am assuming you mean that you think we will win? :D

That's true later in the season; right now, after fewer than 10 games, it isn't. <ok>

I BELIEVE we can win, Liverpool don't intimidate me at all. No fear, let's just do this.

We can beat any team look at the performance the goals will come bit worried about no Bassong in the back 4 as he has been so solid but maybe it's time for Tetty to produce a great DM performance and take diver Suraez out if the game.
Come on Holty we are gunning for you to score against thier leaky defense

If he isn't, is anyone really confident of Turner. I think I would prefer Martin at CB and Bennet RB.

I'm not going to make a judgement on Turner until I've seen a few more games. If he continues making big errors then I will worry but not yet.

Yes, I have confidence in Turner. He is a solid defensive CB. His "mistake" at Newcastle could have happened to anyone. He needs more games, that's all. Also he is good in the air defensively, which will be useful against the likes of Carragher and Skirtel. Sounds as if Bassong may well play though. <ok>

That would amount to a right kick in the teeth for both Turner and Ryan Bennett redruth. Neither has done anything to deserve such a public put-down IMO! <ok>

I think turners ok, the key is bassong and Barnett ate a good combo. They work the best as a unit.

Agreed Beef. One very good reason to ring the changes for cup games is to forge other partnerships in preparation for when they're needed. So I would have preferred to see Turner/Barnett last Wednesday against Donny, then e.g. Bassong/Bennett against Spurs. <ok>

Singing to the choir on that one! <laugh>

Should be a good game, we are really unpredictable at the moment in terms of trying to pick a victory or not. Just depends on if we can get a goal first or will that lack of scoring creep back up ( again) for us? We shall see.

I'd say many teams that slip there do find it difficult, probably a confidence thing. Even at around 10 games mark, many that are there will, more often than not, find it hard to get out and will find themselves there or there abouts.

Holt dropped to the bench. That is great news for us. He is exactly the type of striker our defence struggles against.

Well I say dropped as I was assuming he started your last league game, but even if he didn't its still a positive thing for us!

He scored against you at Anfield last term, coming off the bench! It always fires him up!
