Anyone ever visited? I did years ago when i was at uni, but haven't been recently. Was having a discussion this morning about it and the pickled boaby scene from Chewin' The Fat, or one of those programmes, came up. Can't recall seeing it when I was there
My eldest daughter went with her primary school a few years ago. First thing she mentioned was the pickled boaby
I was there with a group of school kids if I remember right, some kind of display was on, I remember the kids could dress up. Didn't see the pickled boaby but Guess where I'm going during the October week?

I dunno - something properly macabre about them, though. The Hunterian has a weird smell because of all the formaldehyde and the likes - the mutations bit is downright spooky. But it's not all medical freakshows - they have Rembrandts and Whistlers and stuff in the Art Gallery bit. But everyone seems to go for the pickled boabies and hands of lepers.
