Miaow! Christ, this thread's turned ugly! Surely the point of the thread was 'we're in the ****, but it ain't too peachy at Carrot Road.' So we're both in the mire. OK?
What i don't get, is why does Norwich always play the victim card yet they seem to think they can say and do whatever they like to anybody else? Take McNally on Lawro for instances, why the **** did he need to respond, bleating like a little kid? and the fans on Lawro, he is only making a prediction and not being funny if he predicts them to lose every week he is going to be right more often than not, isn't he.
If I could be bothered or even cared anymore about getting one over you boys, I would bookmark this thread and its comments. I'm 100% certain that within the space of a few weeks, I could refer at least one of you to it.
Tell me you're not being serious please I really think you should take a look at this site before posting such tosh: http://www.historicalnorwich.co.uk/index.html And would draw your attention to this under 'Modern Norwich' "Modern Norwich In addition to the many historical sites in and around Norwich, there is a wealth of more more modern attractions. Set in the heart of East Anglia, the historic city of Norwich has everything you would desire of a vibrant regional capital. You will find a modern cultural city with beautiful heritage, vibrant nightlife, sophisticated shopping and mouth-watering restaurants." Now tell me, just what has Ipswich got to offer that betters this ? N.B. vibrant regional CAPITAL
I wouldn't say Norwich is a crap city, its certainly nowhere near one of the best though! the surrounding area is lovely, i spent many a summer with my cousins who lived in wroxham on the broads.
Well we'll certainly have to disagree there then Guru. Having travelled the length and breadth of the country, I would certainly put Norwich as one of THE best
I'll throw my two pence worth in, I have to say growing up smack bang between the Ipswich and Norwich I would always chose Norwich for a night out, shopping etc. (May have been due to having a Girlfriend who lived there) but in recent years I find a night out in Norwich a bit of a rough and ready place with some absolute tools who reside along Prince of wales and within the city, and having been at Uni and travelled a bit to visit friends as well as with work etc. I still appreciate Norwich as a really nice city but I've certainly been to better.. York for example as well as Exeter etc. Plus some others that are actually nice but have a bad rep and I would also defend Ipswich as I have visited a lot more recently and even Norwich can't compete with the Marina/waterfront in Ipswich, in fact the times I've been it's been gloriously sunny and Marbella would possibly struggle (when it's sunny ofcourse) so before Norwich folk moan about Ipswich I think they should visit as it isn't as bad as it used to be
Worcester, Manchester, Cambridge, Cheltenham, Oxford to name but a few are infinitely better then Norwich, I'm not saying its the worse, Bristol gets my vote for that!
Bristol??...... That's the worst you've been too..? I take it you've never been to Nottingham or Doncaster... or Stockport... or any other of the small towns in Lancashire then?
Been to Nottingham, the women to men ratio saves it. I have driven through Stockport, that is a ****hole of epic scale. Preston is pretty ****e also!
Hooters is the only redeeming feature of Nottingham but even then, the women working there had faces like they'd been put through a blender then painted by a group of 2 year old kids, unbelievable array of cleavage mind, just a shame the rest of them was so horrendous to look at
Not being funny Kickoff, If they are advertising Norwich they are hardly going to call it a ****hole, and show a blood stained Prince of wales road on a sunday morning are they!
This really is pointless when you consider that East Anglia is a great place to live with a high standard of living compared to most other areas of the country. Whether it be Norfolk, Suffolk or Camnbridgeshire.
