I am so ****ing sad right now..
This, nothing with regards to him retiring and Alonso did say they would need somebody more experienced than Felipe to take over until of course Seb goes in.
I can see Schumacher in that Ferrari for one last year. Whether Ferrari would want him is another matter. It would be a lot of salary for what would essentially just be keeping Vettel's seat warm and giving data to Alonso.
Whoever made that picture is clearly not an F1 fan or they would know that there are several reasons for Hamilton to go to Mercedes...
Brawn said: "On behalf of Mercedes, I would first of all like to thank Michael Schumacher for the important contribution he has made to the growth of our team over the past three seasons. "His energy and commitment have never wavered, even when results have not matched our own expectations, and we are determined to finish the 2012 season together on a high. As always, it has been a pleasure to work with Michael." Peter Sauber said recently that he would offer Schumacher a drive with his eponymous team, should he leave Mercedes.
Talk going about that Jenson has just unfollowed Lewis on twitter lol! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, ****s going down now!
Just checked and its true Seems a little petty (Hamilton's still following Button... probs hoping for some telemetry)
Right, I am a little late in on this - ironic as the author of the thread! Am I right in thinking that Mclaren anounced the Perez deal prior to the Mercedes/Lewis deal? If that the case and it was an announcmenet rather than a leak, surely that would indicate that there was some bitterness or Mclaren wanted to take control of the situation to prevent Lewis/Merc getting all the PR. It could also raise another question, was the deal done along time ago? Did Mclaren have to take up the Perez option by a certain point? Did Mclaren get a bit pissed and force the situation? All speculation I know, but I would have thought the announcements would have been more coordinated had they been harmonous.
