YEEEEESSSSSSS! Learning from Button will do him good. They have similar styles. He will be WDC in the not too distant future I think.
I had a bet with my brother that Perez would be a WDC before he is 26, I think he might be sweating for a couple of years now lol! Loved that kid since GP2.
So, surprising no-one, Whitmarsh WAS bullshitting. Perez as Hamilton's replacement shows that Mclaren are going in a different direction from the one I expected, because he is a very raw talent but one who has definitely got great potential. Perhaps he will even be Button's successor! Within the team they will suit each other because they will have similar data streams due to their easy style on the tyres. Presumably also Mclaren do not expect Vodafone to renew their deal as title sponsors, given Perez's association with Carlos Slim's Telmex? However, I guarantee you we have not heard the last of this.
I bet Di Resta is pissed, No McLaren drive, No Mercedes drive. Still this is a such a shocking morining, they couldve waited until I woke up properly.
I am quite shocked by this as I had understood that Pérez's connections (Ferrari, Telmex) would preclude him from signing for McLaren. But there's no doubt that he's a great signing and I can't wait to see what he can do in a top car. As for di Resta...
wa wa waaaaa Di Resta! But you still beat Seb in F3 though didn't you? Chump! I was a Perez fan before it was "kool" lol
Hmm, lack of Ferrari movement worries me. Does this mean Massa gets another year, then replaced by the longer rumoured Ferrari bound Vettel?
If you were Ferrari looking at these changes, you would now percieve that Mercedes are going to be a serious contender next year, making you one of 4 teams, not 3 teams. I reckon, this will force a decision on Massa who they could easily have replaced with Perez themselves. Ferrari's hesitation must surely indicate the likelihood of Seb being there in 2014 and if so which driver, who is better than Massa, would step in for 12 months...hmmm, Schumacher??? I wonder. Might he, would he, does he still want to at least leave having won one race?
He hasn't, putting more emphasis on the last 6 races, and whether he would want to go back to the team that pushed him out for Raikkonen in the first place.
Well, if, as seems likely, the god-like DJ Squire is going to Sauber, then definitely yes, they knew ages ago. Jaime seemed to be very certain of what he was doing but had to wait to announce it. We'll know soon enough...
This is how to waken up on a miserable Friday morning. Checo/Button...good for me...nice post Caesar. ps, is there any rumour regarding Di Resta heading to Ferrari..oh my days..
I cannot believe what is happening, but Perez and Button will still be a mighty combo for McLaren next year
Pretty much, Vodafone are rumoured to be in financial troubles so Telmex would be there to take over with big £££
