Just because of Bajan's Foy rants, I'd love to know how the officials for these games are selected. It's like someone actually picks out refs that have made massive blunders against us in the past deliberately...
Luke, you HAVE to have your fecking dig almost every time you post don't you? This time no manager for 23 years has beaten Man U. Moderators will you please consider barring this pillock. I've just put the prick on my ignore list.
I put it in the wrong thread. Whatever he's just written there would you please consider still barring the boring little prat.
I'd agree that most of his posts on the game might be better suited to the United board, regurgitating the same old facts is bound to strike a nerve or too amongst our posters but hey, think of all the **** he's going to read on here when we beat his team on Saturday \o/
Well anyway District,Man U are everybody's biggest game of the season. I live in hope that we will beat them one day and often when a team hasn't beaten another for yonks then when the win comes it's a thrashing. I'd be happy with a draw today because I don't see us winning it.
I honestly think that win makes Spurs games v top sides in the future much easier. The only reason Spurs have missed out on CL is due to record v top sides. Arry really was dismal against the top 4.
DL - nice shout out to the spuds.. and a great win at OT for them!! feel really happy for them and AVB.. he needs some backing and hope he will get it now.
HIAG,you're jumping the gun a bit. Panathinwhatsit won't be easy and it's a different competition. I'm still going along carefully despite our win today. Tad lucky I think as we all know but I'm cautious. Good result though ay?
Yeah, but you always have to be against United at home. How many teams, over the last 23 years, have gone to OT and won? Not many, I bet.
Loads. Including sides that are now League 1 and Championship. All it takes is belief, which AVB seems to have instilled. None of this Redknapp "Ah well we were at United away" attitude. If teams went and attacked United more rather than worrying about losing or conceding early I guarantee they'd lose more often.
I'm sorry, but not many sides have gone to OT over the last 23 years and won. Sure, it will sound like a lot if you (or someone) lists them, but bearing in mind that United play 19 home matches each year, so 19 x 23 = 437 matches. If someone can get me the stat as to how many times United have been beaten at home, we'll be able to work out the percentage of home games that United has lost over that period of time. I am confident that it won't be a large number.
